Plan Data Capture Forms Integration Setup

If you use Plan Data Capture forms for benefits plans in Applied Epic, you can access and edit plans that use these forms in Epic Benefits for Salesforce from the Benefit Coverages tab. Once you configure the Plan Data Capture integration, users can view and edit form details directly in Epic Benefits for Salesforce and the information will automatically sync to Applied Epic. Plans in an Issued state are read-only, and you must still issue policies/plans directly in Applied Epic. Plan Data Capture forms are only available in the United States.

Configuration

Before users can use Plan Data Capture forms in Epic Benefits for Salesforce, an administrator must apply the appropriate permission set and ensure that the PDC Canvas application settings are correct.

Permission Set

For a user to see data capture form details on a plan’s Benefit Coverages tab, you must assign them the EBSF Standard User permission set.

PDC Canvas

For the information on the data capture form to render on the Benefit Coverages tab, you must configure the PDC Canvas application.

  1. Go to Setup > App Manager.
  2. Locate the PDC Canvas app. Select Manage from the dropdown dropdown arrow.
  3. From the Connected App PDC Canvas page, click the Edit Policies button.
  4. In the OAuth Policies frame, confirm that Admin approved users are pre-authorized is selected in the Permitted Users dropdown.

Coverage Prefill Configuration (Optional)

You can configure coverage prefills in the Configure > Policy > Prefills – Policy/Plan Detail area of Applied Epic for use on the data capture forms in both Epic and Epic Benefits for Salesforce. Configuring prefills is recommended, to save users time and ensure accurate data entry.
