If your organization uses Applied CSR24 and an administrator has configured the system to enable it, you can share content on the CSR24 Self-Service Portal with individual contacts who have Client Portal accounts. You can share any piece of content in the system (including Applied Systems content, My Content, and Edited Content).

If necessary, you can also send a notification email with a customized message to let the contact know you have shared content to their Portal. The contact can access the Portal from a link in the message. If your organization has multiple CSR24 subdomains (that is, multiple portals), and administrator can configure individual Branding Profiles to use a specific subdomain. When you select that profile, the content will be shared on its associated portal. Before you begin sharing content, make sure you have configured your Self-Service Portal Start Pages in CSR24 to display Applied Marketing Automation as a Feature or Menu Item.

The Content Library > CSR24 Content Library page lists all content currently shared on the Self-Service Portal (for all contacts). If necessary, you can remove Portal access content through this area. Removing access to content removes it for all contacts with whom the content has been shared. The Content Library > CSR24 Archived page displays previously shared content that has had access removed.

Please note that you can only share single content pieces with up to 10 contacts at a time.

Share a Piece of Content to a Contact’s CSR24 Self-Service Portal

You can share an individual piece of content on a contact’s CSR24 Self-Service Portal account and send them a personalized notification email if necessary. You can share the same piece of content with up to 10 contacts at once. Follow these steps to share content with a contact.

  1. From any area of the Content Library, locate the piece of content you want to share. If necessary, you can filter the list of content using the Search field or Sort Order dropdown.
  2. Click on the title of the content or the Preview link to open the Details page.
  3. Click the Share button and select CSR24 Self-Service Portal from the dropdown. The Selected CSR24 Content page displays with a link to the Content Selection. To view a Content Preview, click the link for the selected content piece.
  4. To select contacts with whom to share the content, click the Find Contacts button and do the following:
    1. Enter one or more criteria in the search fields.
    2. To display only contacts with existing Self-Service Portal accounts in the results, select the Only Customers with Client Portals checkbox.
If you share content with a contact who does not have a Self-Service Portal account, the Access Portal Account button in the optional notification email will take the contact to an account creation page. Once they have created their Self-Service Portal account, they can access the content. If you choose to share content with these contacts, you might use the notification email to encourage them to create Portal accounts.
    3. Click the Search button.
    4. Select the checkbox for each contact (up to 10) with whom you want to share the content.

  5. Select the appropriate Branding Profile if it does not default.
Note: If your organizations has multiple CSR24 subdomains (that is, multiple portals), you may have a separate branding profile associated with the URL for each subdomain.

  6. To send an email to the contacts letting them know that the content is available, select the Send a Notification Email checkbox. The message informs the contacts that new content is available on the Self-Service Portal, provides a link to access the portal, and includes any custom message you enter.

  7. Depending on the previous steps you took, do one of the following:

Remove Access to Content

If necessary, you can remove access to a piece of content that has previously been shared on the CSR24 Self-Service Portal. However, you cannot remove access for only a single contact. Removing access to a piece of content removes it from the Self-Service Portal for all contacts with whom it has been shared.

  1. Go to Content Library > CSR24 Content Library.

  2. Optionally use the Sort Order dropdown or enter Search text to locate a specific piece of content.

  3. Once you have located the piece of content, click the History button.

  4. The CSR24 History pop-up displays. Click the Remove Access to this Content button.

  5. The Confirm Removal pop-up window displays. Click the Yes, remove access button to remove access to this content for all contacts, or click the Cancel button to close the pop-up window without removing access.
Note: You can review details about all content that has previously had access removed on the CSR24 Archived page.
