Edit Attachment Detail

When necessary, you can edit attachment details to keep an account's related documents up to date. For example, you may need to change an attachment's security access level to ensure that only appropriate personnel can access it, or make an attachment client-accessible on the Applied CSR24 Self-Service Portal. Use the information in this article to locate attachment(s) and update their details.

  1. Locate the account and access the Attachments area.
  2. Up to 10,000 attachments for the selected entity display in the list below the search bar. Change the attachments that display in the list if necessary.

  2. Do one of the following:
  3. The Attached To frame shows which items are related to the attachment (e.g., a claim, line, policy, and account). To relate the attachment to an additional item, click the Add button .
    1. Select the item type from the dropdown menu. All items of that type display in the list. Select the Include closed or Include history checkbox to include closed or history items of that type.
      Note: Selecting Policy may affect the Mark as an Important Policy Documents checkbox selection after you complete this step of the workflow. However, you can change this selection if necessary.
    2. Select the items to which you want to associate the attachment from the list. Use [Ctrl] + click or [Shift] + click to make multiple selections.
    3. Click Finish to associate the attachment to these items or Cancel to close the dialog box without adding associations.
  4. If necessary, select the Mark as an Important Policy Document checkbox for the attachment.
    Note: The checkbox may default selected if the attachment is assigned to a policy, depending on your organization's attachment configuration settings.
  5. Modify the Description of the attachment if desired.
  6. Choose an attachment Folder Path to which to save the attachment so that it can be found easily later. The Folder field is required for attachments designated Client accessible. For instructions on creating, editing, and deleting these folders, see Attachment Folder Configuration.
  7. The current system date defaults as the Received date. Change it if necessary.
  8. The Structure frame shows all structures to which this attachment is related.
  9. Add Comments if necessary.
  10. If the Client Access frame is enabled in System Settings, you can specify whether and for how long this attachment is accessible by clients through Applied CSR24 Self-Service Portal. Select the Client accessible checkbox and select a date from the Expire on calendar dropdown if applicable. If the attachment’s availability should not expire, leave the Expire on field blank.
  11. Choose a security Access level if applicable. Only employees with the selected access level will be able to access the attachment. See Attachment Access Level Configuration for instructions on adding, editing, and deleting these access levels.
  12. Select Do not purge to exclude this attachment from the Purge Attachments utility. If you select an Expire on date, the attachment will be excluded from purges until that date, after which it will become eligible for purging.
  13. Click Finish or press [Enter] to amend the attachment detail. You are prompted, "Do you wish to save these changes?" Click Yes.

    Click Cancel to exit the workflow without editing the attachment. You are prompted, "Do you wish to discard changes?" Click Yes.
