Export Risks

Applied Epic allows you to import and export risks in different file formats for client verification and for quick and easy entering of data into the program.  

This function can be accessed from the Policies area or the Contacts area.

Note: This article contains printing instructions that are only applicable if Applied Epic is installed locally on your computer. If you access Epic through a web browser such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge, you cannot print directly from within the system. See Printing for more information about the printing capabilities available from Epic Browser. All other steps in this article are applicable to both methods of accessing Epic unless stated otherwise.

  1. Locate the account in question and access the Policies area or access the Accounts area and locate the correct contact .
  2. Click on the appropriate policy or contact in the list.

    Note: Monoline and package policies are in bolded in the policy list. Lines of business included in package policies are not bolded; they are indented and listed beneath the package policies to which they belong.
  3. Do one of the following:
  4. n the Export Risks window, choose the correct risk Type.
  5. To show mapping files that are associated with the selected account, click the Select file by account checkbox.
  6. Choose the desired Mapping file.

    Note: To choose a file definition that is specific to the selected account, click the Select file by account checkbox before choosing a mapping file.
  7. Enter a File name for the file that is to be exported.
  8. Select any checkboxes that apply:
  9. The primary contact defaults into the Contact field. To choose a different contact on the account, click the lookup button , change the types of contacts that display in the list if necessary, click on the correct contact, and then click Finish.
  10. If the selected contact has a preferred contact method, it defaults in the Via field; otherwise, Print defaults. This selection can be changed if necessary.
  11. A list of risks for the selected policy displays. Click Export to create the file.
  12. Click Yes to verify that you want to export the list.
