Import Holders

Applied Epic allows you to import and export holders in different file formats for client verification and for quick and easy data entry.

Before importing the file, ensure that any countries in the document are represented by a valid three-character country code.

  1. Locate the client in question and access the Proofs of Insurance area.
  2. Click Certificates on the navigation panel.

    Note: You can access certificates from the Policies area by clicking Access > Proofs > Certificate of Liability or Certificate of Property on the options bar or menubar.
  3. A list of certificates for the selected customer displays. Change the certificates that display in the list if necessary.
  1. Click on the appropriate certificate in the list.

  2. Do one of the following:

  3. Click the Add button .
  4. Click the Select file by account checkbox to choose a mapping file that is specific to this client.
  5. Choose the desired File definition.

    Note: To choose a file definition that is specific to the selected account, click the Select file by account checkbox before choosing a mapping file.
  6. Choose the appropriate radio button:
  7. Click the lookup button to the right of the Select file to import field.
  8. Click the correct radio button:
  9. If applicable, change the number in the Start import from row field to the first row of the Microsoft Excel sheet that contains data.
  10. Click Process.
  11. On the Import Holders window, click the Refresh link label in the blue header bar.
  12. The status is changed to "Created." (This is shown in the bottom left corner of the window.)
  13. Click the Preview button.

    Note: The list displays only the first 10,000 items in the import batch. A record count displays the number of records that are currently visible and the total number of records in the import. If more than 10,000 records are available, use the search bar to narrow your results.
  1. Click Import to pull the holders into the certificate.
  2. Click Yes to verify that you want to import the items.
  3. Click the Refresh link label again.
  4. If the import is successful, the list will be blank.
