Extend a Binder

  1. Locate the customer in question and access the Proofs of Insurance area.
  2. Click Binders under Proofs of Insurance on the navigation panel.

    Note: You can access binders from the Policies area by clicking Access > Proofs > Binders > Open Binders or Closed Binders on the options bar or menubar.
  3. A list of binders for the selected customer displays. Change the binders that display in the list if necessary.
  1. Click the binder you wish to extend.
  2. Do one of the following:
  3. The Expiry defaults as 30 days from the binder's current expiry date, but you can change this date if necessary.
  4. Choose the time for the extension to expire. The choices are noon or 12:01 a.m.
  5. Enter a Description for this binder extension.
  6. Optionally select the Binder is issued to extend coverage in the above named company per expiring policy number checkbox and enter the number of the policy that the binder is extending.
  7. Click Finish or press [Enter] to complete the workflow.

Click Detail to complete the workflow and view binder detail.

 

Click Cancel or press [Esc] to exit the workflow without adding a binder.
