Identification Codes Configuration
Applied Epic gives you the flexibility to capture a wide variety of
identification numbers for different types of entities in different countries.
However, not all of them may be relevant to you, depending on the location
and nature of your business.
In this area, you can activate and inactivate Identification Codes for
use on the Identification Numbers
tab in account detail. Inactivating code types that your organization
does not use streamlines the list of code types available for selection
in account detail, facilitating efficient data entry and reducing errors.
Inactive codes cannot be added to accounts. If you inactivate a code
that is already in use on an account, the code continues to display on
that account and can be edited, but you cannot add it to any additional
accounts without reactivating it.
Note: This
article contains printing instructions that are only applicable if Applied
Epic is installed locally on your computer. If you access Epic through
a web browser such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge,
you cannot print directly from within the system. See Printing
for more information about the printing capabilities available from Epic
Browser. All other steps in this article are applicable to both methods
of accessing Epic unless stated otherwise.
- From the Home screen, do one of the following:
- Click Configure
on the navigation panel.
- Click Areas
> Configure on the menubar.
- Click the down
arrow next to Home
on the options bar and select Configure.
From
any other area of the program, do one of the following:
- Click Account
on the navigation panel or
Areas > Account on the menubar.
- Click Identification
Codes on the navigation panel.
- Activate/Inactivate an Identification Code
Note:
To activate an inactive code, click the Include
Inactive link label in the header to display inactive codes
in the list.
Click to highlight the code
in the list and then do one of the following:
- Click Actions
> Activate/Inactivate on the options bar or menubar.
- Right-click the
code and select
Activate/Inactivate.
- Print the list of Identification Codes
- To print the list of identification codes, do one of the
following:
- Click the Print
button
to the left of
the list.
- Click Print
> Listview on the options bar.
- Click File
> Print > Listview on the menubar.
- Print this list as you would any other document.
