Paper Type Configuration

Use this feature to define the different paper types used in your agency (e.g., Dunning letters, plain paper, letterhead).

Note: This article contains printing instructions that are only applicable if Applied Epic is installed locally on your computer. If you access Epic through a web browser such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge, you cannot print directly from within the system. See Printing for more information about the printing capabilities available from Epic Browser. All other steps in this article are applicable to both methods of accessing Epic unless stated otherwise.

Click Attachment on the navigation panel or Areas > Attachment on the menubar.

Click Paper Type on the navigation panel.

You can do the following from here:

Add a Paper Type
1. Click the Add button to the left of the list.
2. Enter the Description of the paper type in the field on the right.
3. The Printers Used section shows the printer(s) at each agency that will use the new paper type. to change a printer , click on the correct line in the list and click the Edit button .
4. In the Select Printer pop-up window, choose the appropriate Printer and Paper source, and then click Finish or press [Enter].
5. Click Finish or press [Enter] to complete the record.
  
  Click Add to add this record and create another one.
  
  Click Cancel or press [Esc] to exit the workflow without saving changes. You are prompted: "Do you wish to discard changes?" Click Yes.
Edit a Paper Type
1. Click on the paper type you would like to edit.
2. Click the Edit button to the left of the list.
3. Revise the Description field if applicable.
4. The Printers Used section shows the printer(s) at each agency that use the selected paper type. to change a printer , click on the correct line in the list and click the Edit button .
In the Select Printer pop-up window, choose the appropriate Printer and Paper source, and then click Finish or press [Enter].
1. Click Finish or press [Enter] to complete the record.
Click Cancel or press [Esc] to exit the workflow without saving changes.
Delete a Paper Type
1. Click on the paper type you would like to delete.
2. Do one of the following:
  - Click the Delete button to the left of the list.
  - Press [Delete] on your keyboard.
3. You are prompted: "Do you wish to delete this record?" Click Yes.
Print a List of Paper Types
1. To print a list of the paper types in Applied Systems Epic, do one of the following:
  - Click Print, Listview on the options bar.
  - Click File > Print > Listview on the menubar.
2. The Print window displays. Print this list as you would any other document.
