Scanned Documents

Use the settings on this screen to set default values for various options relating to scanned or imported items. Scanned or imported items that are attached to an employee, group, or department can be accessed from the Unrouted Attachments area.

The File Type settings are only applicable to scanning in the desktop version of Applied Epic (where Epic is installed locally on a user’s computer). Epic Browser users must scan documents outside of Epic and import them instead.

In the Recycled Items frame, enter the number of days after which recycled items should be deleted (between 0 and 60).
By default, the system saves information about scanned items in Batch Scan History for 12 months, but you can change this setting if needed. In the Batch History frame, enter the number of months after which batch scan history should be deleted (between one and 120).
