Auto ID Configuration

In this area, you can manage the forms used to issue auto ID cards. You can configure as many auto IDs as necessary, as different forms are required in each state, and you can even configure forms differently for specific issuing companies. For this reason, it is important to enter a clear Form description to identify each form, so users can select the correct option when issuing auto ID cards. Depending on the Paper Type you select on the Card tab, you can either configure standard preinstalled cards to print on plain paper or configure custom cards that allow you to select fields to include on pre-printed paper.

Note: This article contains printing instructions that are only applicable if Applied Epic is installed locally on your computer. If you access Epic through a web browser such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge, you cannot print directly from within the system. See Printing for more information about the printing capabilities available from Epic Browser. All other steps in this article are applicable to both methods of accessing Epic unless stated otherwise.

Perform the following workflows to add, edit, or delete auto IDs, or print a full list of the IDs configured.

  1. Access the Configure area:

From the Home screen, do any of the following:

From any other area of the program, do one of the following:

  1. Click Proofs on the navigation panel, or Areas > Proofs on the menubar.
  2. Click Auto IDs on the navigation panel.
