Marketing Carrier Response Configuration

Items added with this function display in the Description dropdown list next to the Carrier response field when adding a carrier response to a marketed policy.

Note: This article contains printing instructions that are only applicable if Applied Epic is installed locally on your computer. If you access Epic through a web browser such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge, you cannot print directly from within the system. See Printing for more information about the printing capabilities available from Epic Browser. All other steps in this article are applicable to both methods of accessing Epic unless stated otherwise.

  1. From the Home screen, do one of the following:

From any other area of the program, do one of the following:

  1. Click Policy on the navigation panel, or Areas > Policy on the menubar.
  2. Click Marketing Carrier Responses on the navigation panel.
  3. Click to highlight the response for which you wish to add a description.

    Note: Descriptions added will be available only for the selected response. For example, if you add "Risk too high" to the "Declined" response, Risk too high will not display as a Description option if Quote is the response.
  4. To require selection from a list in the Description field when adding a carrier response, select the Enable field validation radio button.

    If you select Disable field validation, freeform text will be allowed in the Description field.
