Marketing Carrier Response Configuration

Items added with this function display in the Description dropdown list next to the Carrier response field when adding a carrier response to a marketed policy.

Note: This article contains printing instructions that are only applicable if Applied Epic is installed locally on your computer. If you access Epic through a web browser such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge, you cannot print directly from within the system. See Printing for more information about the printing capabilities available from Epic Browser. All other steps in this article are applicable to both methods of accessing Epic unless stated otherwise.

From the Home screen, do one of the following:

Click Configure on the navigation panel.
Click the down arrow next to Home on the menubar and select Configure.
Click Areas > Configure on the menubar.

From any other area of the program, do one of the following:

Click the down arrow to the right of the Home options bar button and select Configure.
Click Home > Configure on the menubar. The Configure screen displays.

Click Policy on the navigation panel, or Areas > Policy on the menubar.

Click Marketing Carrier Responses on the navigation panel.

Click to highlight the response for which you wish to add a description.

Note: Descriptions added will be available only for the selected response. For example, if you add "Risk too high" to the "Declined" response, Risk too high will not display as a Description option if Quote is the response.

To require selection from a list in the Description field when adding a carrier response, select the Enable field validation radio button.

If you select Disable field validation, freeform text will be allowed in the Description field.

You can do the following from here:

Add a Carrier Response
1. Do one of the following:
  - Click the Add button to the left of the list.
  - Press [Insert] on your keyboard.
2. Enter the new response in the Description in the field on the right.
3. Click Finish or press [Enter] to complete the record.
Edit a Carrier Response
1. Click to highlight the detail that you wish to revise in the list, and then do one of the following:
  - Click the Edit button to the left of the list.
  - Click File > Open on the menubar.
  - Double click the response.
2. Revise the response in the Description field on the right.
3. Click Finish or press [Enter] to complete the record.
Delete a Carrier Response
1. Click to highlight the detail that you wish to delete in the list.
2. Do one of the following:
  - Click the Delete button to the left of the list.
  - Click File > Delete on the menubar.
  - Press [Delete] on your keyboard.
3. You are prompted: "Do you wish to delete this record?" Click Yes.
Print the List of Responses
1. To print the list of the responses, do one of the following:
  - Click the Print button to the left of the list.
  - Click Print > Listview on the options bar.
  - Click File > Print > Listview on the menubar.
2. Print this list as you would any other document.

Click Finish when your changes are complete.
