User Configuration

User Configuration allows you to set users' rights and assign group membership. Please note that you cannot change your own security settings.

Users must first be entered through Login Configuration before their security settings can be changed in this area.

The On Demand User Detail Report available from this area enables you to view and print information on all user accounts or selected user accounts.

Note: This article contains printing instructions that are only applicable if Applied Epic is installed locally on your computer. If you access Epic through a web browser such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge, you cannot print directly from within the system. See Printing for more information about the printing capabilities available from Epic Browser. All other steps in this article are applicable to both methods of accessing Epic unless stated otherwise.

  1. From the Home screen, click Configure on the navigation panel.

    From any other area of the program, do one of the following:

  1. Click Security > Users on the navigation panel.
  2. The users in your system display in the list. To sort by a different column, click the column heading by which you wish to sort.
  3. Click on the user whose rights you wish to set, and then do one of the following:

Note: To copy Group Memberships, Structure Access, Program Access, or Bank Account Access settings from one user to another, first select the user whose settings you wish to copy from the list under Configure > Security > Users.

Select Actions > Copy Settings To from the menubar or the options bar. The Copy Security Settings pop-up window displays.

Click the checkboxes for the settings you wish to copy under Areas to Copy. Then select the user(s) to whom you wish to copy these settings from the Available list and use the single and double arrow buttons to move them into the Selected list. Use the single arrow buttons to select or deselect only certain users, or the double arrow buttons to select or deselect all users.

Click Finish to copy the settings for the selected areas to the selected user(s).

  1. To print a list of users, do one of the following:

The Print window displays. Print this list as you would any other document.
