The profit center level is defined at the line. There is a minimum of one profit center installed in Epic. Profit Centers are assigned to Income Statement accounts (income/expenses). In Epic’s hierarchy of structure, profit centers come below the department level. A profit center can represent several different things:
A program for which the agency wishes to monitor profitability (e.g., certain campaigns within the benefits department)
A group of people (team) whose profitability the agency wishes to monitor
An individual producer or employee.
Note: This article contains printing instructions that are only applicable if Applied Epic is installed locally on your computer. From the Home screen,
do one of the following:
Click Configure on the navigation panel.
Click the down arrow next to Home on the menubar and select Configure.
Click Areas > Configure on the menubar.
From any other area of the program, do one of the following:
Click the down arrow to the right of the Home options bar button and select Configure.
Click Home > Configure on the menubar. The Configure screen displays.
Click Structure > Profit Centers on the navigation panel. The Profit Centers frame displays to the right of the navigation panel.
