Batch Update from Files
Each insurer has a process for providing download files not placed in
your mailbox(es) to a shared folder on your network. Perform the Batch Update from Files action
to process the files in the shared folder. Before you can perform this
action, you must define the shared folder location in the Interface
Files section of Interface
System Settings.
Note: This
article contains printing instructions that are only applicable if Applied
Epic is installed locally on your computer. If you access Epic through
a web browser such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge,
you cannot print directly from within the system. See Printing
for more information about the printing capabilities available from Epic
Browser. All other steps in this article are applicable to both methods
of accessing Epic unless stated otherwise.
From the
Home screen, do one of the following:
- Click Procedures
on the navigation panel.
- Click Areas
> Procedures on the menubar.
- Click the down
arrow next to Home
on the options bar and select Procedures.
From
any other area of the program, do one of the following:
- Click
the down
arrow to the right of the Home
options bar button and select Procedures.
- Click
Home
> Procedures on the menubar.
- Click Interface
Management > Assign Items in Suspense on the navigation
panel.
- Do one of the following:
- Click
Actions >
Batch Update from Files on the options bar.
- Click
Actions >
Batch Update from Files on the menubar.
- The Communication Log Recipients
- Batch Update From Files screen displays.
Note: You
cannot edit this screen if the Communication Log Layout
is set to Custom – Layouts selected
to Print in Reports/Marketing in Interface
System Settings.
- You can change the people that receive a copy of the communication
log using the list at the top of the screen. When you select a recipient,
that person's options display in the Delivery Options frame.
- Click Finish
to run the update, and then click OK
on the Submitted for processing
message.
Click Cancel
to exit the screen without running the update.
