Edit an Attachment in Microsoft Word

  1. Locate the account and access the Attachments area.
  2. Up to 10,000 attachments for the selected entity display in the list below the search bar. Change the attachments that display in the list if necessary.
  1. Click the attachment in the list.
  2. Do one of the following:
  3. The document opens in Microsoft Word. Edit the text as necessary.

    Note: You cannot insert Applied Epic data fields while editing an existing attachment. You must enter all data manually.
  4. When you are finished, click the X in the upper right corner, or click the Add-Ins tab and select Applied > Save & Exit.
  5. The Attachment Updated window displays, asking if you wish to permanently save your changes. Click Yes to confirm the update, or No to discard the changes made.
  6. If you click Yes, the Save Attachment window displays. Modify the description of the attachment if desired.
  7. The Save Attachment window prompts you, "Replace and inactivate original or save as new?" Select one of the following options:
