Inactivate/Reactivate a Broker

1. Access the Accounts area and locate the broker in question.
   1.  

      To access Accounts from the Home screen, do one of the following:

      • Click Accounts on the navigation panel.
      • Click Areas > Accounts on the menubar.
      • Click the down arrow next to Home on the options bar and select Accounts.

   To access Accounts from another area of the program, do one of the following:

   1. • Click Home > Accounts on the menubar.
      • Click the down arrow next to Home on the options bar and select Accounts.
      • Select Broker in the Locate Account dropdown menu of the Account Locate screen.
   2. In the Locate by dropdown menu, select the appropriate option.
      
      Note: Location by phone number searches all phone numbers associated with the broker and contact accounts, e.g., residential, mobile, fax, etc.

   3. Select the suitable checkbox or checkboxes to the right.

      • Insureds
      • Prospects
      • Active
      • Inactive
   4. Enter the first few letters of the name, policy number, phone number, etc. (depending on the selection in the Locate by dropdown list) and click Locate or press [Enter].
      
      Note: Location by phone number searches all phone numbers associated with client and contact accounts, e.g., residential, mobile, fax, etc.
   5. The Results list displays all of the accounts that match the criteria you entered. Click on a column heading to sort the list by that category. For example, to sort by last name in ascending order, click the Last Name column heading. To sort in descending order, click the Last Name column heading again.

2. Highlight the desired broker in the Results list and then do one of the following:
   

   • Click the down arrow next to Actions on the options bar and select Inactivate/Reactivate Broker.
   • Click Actions > Inactivate/Reactivate Broker on the menubar.
   • Right click on the highlighted broker and select Inactivate/Reactivate Broker.

   You can do the following from here:

     The Reactivate Account window displays, prompting, "Do you wish to reactivate [BROKER LOOKUP CODE]?" Click Yes.

   • Inactivate a Broker
     1. In the Inactivate Account window that displays, enter a Reason for the inactivation, or select a Reason from the dropdown list.

     2. Click Finish or press [Enter].
