Add an Intermodal Interchange Certificate

The Uniform Intermodal Interchange Agreement and Facilities, or UIIA for short, accepts only the ACORD 22 Intermodal Interchange certificate as proof of coverage.

1. Locate the customer in question and access the Proofs of Insurance area.
   1. To access Accounts from the Home screen, do one of the following:

   1. • Click Accounts on the navigation panel.
      • Click Areas > Accounts on the menubar.
      • Click the down arrow next to Home on the options bar and select Accounts.
      • Click Locate on the options bar.

   To access Accounts from another area of the program, do one of the following:

   • Click Home > Accounts on the menubar.
   • Click the down arrow next to Home on the options bar and select Accounts.
   • Click Locate on the options bar.

   2. In the Locate account dropdown menu, select Client.
   3. In the Locate by dropdown menu, select the appropriate option.
      
      Note: Location by phone number searches all phone numbers associated with client and contact accounts (e.g., residential, mobile, fax).

   4. Select the suitable checkbox or checkboxes to the right.

      • Insureds (available only if Clients is selected in the Locate Account field)
      • Prospects (available only if Clients is selected in the Locate Account field)
      • Active
      • Inactive
   5. Enter the first few letters of the name, lookup code, phone number, etc. (depending on the selection in the Locate by dropdown menu) and press [Enter] or click Locate.
      
      Note: Location by phone number searches all phone numbers associated with client and contact accounts (e.g., residential, mobile, fax).
   6. The Results list displays all of the accounts that match the criteria you entered. Click on a column heading to sort the list by that category. For example, click the Last Name column heading to sort by last name in ascending order. To sort in descending order, click the Last Name column heading again.
   7. Highlight the desired item in the Results list.
   8. Click Proofs of Insurance on the navigation panel, or click Areas > Proofs of Insurance on the menubar.
2. Click Certificates on the navigation panel.
   
   Note: You can access certificates from the Policies area by clicking Access, Proofs, Certificate of Liability Insurance or Certificate of Property Insurance on the options bar or menubar.
3. Click Certificate on the view filter and select Intermodal Interchange.
4. Do one of the following:
   • Click the Add button to the left of the list.
   • On the options bar, click New > Proofs > Intermodal Interchange Certificate.
   • On the menubar, click File > New > Proofs > Intermodal Interchange Certificate.
   • Press [Insert] on your keyboard.
   • Press [Ctrl]+N.

5. The Add a Certificate screen displays. In the Type dropdown, choose Intermodal Interchange - ACORD 22.

6. Enter a Title for the certificate.

7. Click Detail.

8. Certificate detail displays for the new certificate. Edit this as necessary.

9. In the navigation panel, click the line of business associated with this certificate and add a schedule.

   1. Click the Add button .

   2. Choose the appropriate Line of business.

   3. The Service Summary defaults into the form but can be changed.

   4. Enter a Description of this template and fill in the rest of the form as needed.

10. There are two schedules that are specific to the Intermodal Interchange certificate:

    • Cargo

      1. Click Cargo in the navigation panel.

      2. On the Cargo schedule, click the Add button .

      3. Choose the appropriate Line of business.
         
         Note: Select the Include history checkbox and/or Include all lines of business checkbox to select a line of business that falls into one of those categories.

      4. The Service Summary defaults into the form but can be changed.

      5. Enter a Description of this template.

      6. Select the Default template checkbox if applicable.

      7. The Deductible and Limit default into the fields.

    • Trailer Interchange

      1. Click Trailer Interchange in the navigation panel.

      2. Click the Add button .

      3. Choose the appropriate Line of business.
         
         Note: Select the Include history checkbox and/or Include all lines of business checkbox to select a line of business that falls into one of those categories.

      4. The Service Summary defaults but can be changed. 

      5. Enter a Description of this template.

      6. Select the Default template checkbox if applicable.

      7. The Per trailer ded defaults in but can be changed if necessary.

      8. Enter the Limit per trailer.

11. Click the red "X" on the navigation panel to close certificate detail.
