Binder Configuration
This feature allows you to set up binder expiration dates and
additional interest defaults.
- From the Home screen, do one of the following:
- Click
Configure
on the navigation panel.
- Click
the down
arrow next to Home
on the menubar and select Configure.
- Click
Areas >
Configure on the menubar.
From
any other area of the program, do one of the following:
- Click the down
arrow to the right of the Home
options bar button and select Configure.
- Click Home
> Configure on the menubar. The Configure
screen displays.
- Click Proofs
on the navigation panel or Areas
> Proofs on the menubar.
- Click Binders
on the navigation panel.
- Optionally select the Do
not allow ACORD binder limits to be increased above policy limits
checkbox in the Detail section.
- Select the appropriate checkbox(es) in the Print/Issue
section:
- Automatically include supplemental
forms and overflows- If this is not selected, servicing
personnel will need to manually add any supplemental forms/overflows
that should print.
- Allow servicing personnel
to override this setting when printing/issuing- This checkbox
has effect only if Automatically
include supplemental forms and overflows is also selected.
It enables servicing personnel to deselect any supplements/overflows
that should not print.
- If applicable, select the Distribute
copies to issuing companies checkbox.
- In the Expiration Date
section, select the Policy
effective date plus or Policy
expiration date plus radio button.
- Enter the number
of days to add to the effective/expiration date in the field provided.
This field is required.
- Make the appropriate selection(s) in the Additional
Interests section, determining whether the additional interests
from the application detail for each policy type should default onto
the binder.
- Default additional interests for personal lines
- Default additional interests for commercial lines
- Default additional interests for agriculture lines
- Optionally click the Display
binder reviewed checkbox. This generates a Review Binder activity
when each binder is added, which can be set in review to the user
responsible for reviewing binders. Once the binder has been reviewed,
the Binder reviewed checkbox
in binder detail should be selected (this checkbox displays only if
this setting has been turned on).
