Real-Time Line of Business Code Configuration

To complete a Real-Time transaction, the carrier receiving the transaction must be able to identify the line of business they are receiving information for, which requires you to associate Applied Epic policy/line type codes with XML line of business codes in this configuration area. Each line of business must match one of the valid XML line of business codes recognized by Real-Time.

1. From the Home screen, do one of the following:
   
   

   • Click Configure on the navigation panel.
   • Click the down arrow next to Home on the menubar and select Configure.
   • Click Areas > Configure on the menubar.

From any other area of the program, do one of the following:

2. • Click the down arrow to the right of the Home options bar button and select Configure.
   • Click Home > Configure on the menubar. The Configure screen displays.

2. Click Real-Time on the navigation panel or Areas > Real-Time on the menubar.
3. Click Line of Business Code on the navigation panel.

4. Select the Line of Business in the list.

5. Do one of the following:
   
   
   • Click the Edit button to the left of the list.
   • Double click the line of business.
   • Press [Enter].

6. The Line of Business Codes window displays. Select the XML Line of Business Code in the dropdown menu.

7. Click Finish or press [Enter] to assign the XML Code.
   

To print the list of line of business codes, do one of the following:

1. • Click the Print button to the left of the list.
   • Click Print > Listview on the options bar.

   • Click File > Print > Listview on the menubar.

The Print window displays. Print this list as you would any other document.
