Export a General Ledger Batch
Exporting a batch creates a Microsoft
Excel file and saves it to the designated destination. Only batches
with a status of Created, Exported,
or Finalized can be exported.
Note that if you export a batch with a status of Exported,
you are merely regenerating the file that was exported originally.
Any General Ledger accounts whose debit entries and credit entries are
equal, resulting in a $0.00 net change in the balance, are excluded from
the exported file. A batch cannot be exported if the total debit and credit
amounts both equal $0.00.
- Access the
Export area.
- Select the batch
in the list and do one of the following:
- On the menubar or options bar, click Actions
> Export Batch.
- Right click the batch
and click Export
Batch.
- You are prompted, “Do you wish to export batch [batch number]?”
Click Yes.
- If you are saving the file to a local drive, your options depend
on the way you access Applied Epic:
- If you access Epic through a web browser, the file saves
to your browser's default Downloads
folder.
- If Epic is installed locally on your computer, you
are prompted to save the file to the default location. Click
Save.
You are prompted, "Do you wish to open this file now?"
Click Yes to
view the file in Excel or
No
to review it at a later time.
- If you are saving the file to a network drive, no additional
prompts display. The file automatically saves to the path specified.
