Applied Epic creates system locks for certain areas and items when a user is accessing or editing them to prevent other users from making conflicting changes. System locks are cleared when a user completely logs out of Epic and then logs back in, as well as after long periods of inactivity on a screen. Users receive a warning message after nine hours of inactivity. If the screen is still inactive after ten hours, the system closes the screen automatically and releases the lock. Occasionally, however, another user may need to access a locked, inactive screen before ten hours have elapsed. In this situation, you can use this utility to release system locks manually after confirming that the original user is no longer working in the locked area.
IMPORTANT: Verify that the user associated to the locked screen is out of the system before releasing the lock.
