Acquire and Attach Image
Use the Image Router to acquire (scan) and attach images from approved TWAIN compliant devices.
To Open the Image Router from the Attachment List
On the Attachment List, click Add and select Acquire and Attach Image. Follow the steps in Acquire Image and Attach Image.
To Open the Image Router from Home Base
- At Home Base, click Utilities.
- On the Utility Manager screen, open the System Administrative folder in the treeview.
- Open the Imaging folder and select Image Router.
- Click the arrow
to continue.
Follow the steps in Acquire Image and Attach Image.
Acquire Image
- On the Image Router screen, the directory (or folder) in which unrouted images are stored displays next to the Browse button at the top of the screen.
To select an alternate directory, click Browse and select the desired directory.
To create a new directory in which to store unrouted images, type the path and new directory name into the field and press [TAB]. Click Yes to create the new folder.
- Click the Acquire button.
- The Select Source screen contains a list of all TWAIN-compliant devices installed on the station. Click the Source you wish to use, and click Select. The TWAIN driver software opens.
- Follow the device manufacturer's instructions for scanning an image.
Attach Image
- On the Image Router screen, fill in the applicable fields: Entity Type, Entity code, Policy, Claim, Custom Date, Category, Subcategory, and Description. For more information, see Image Router screen.
- Select Add activity if desired.
- Select an image(s) from the Available Images list.
- The image displays in the preview pane. If any changes are desired, use the right click menu or click the Image Detail button.
- When you are satisfied with the image, click the right arrow (or double click) to move the image to the Image To Route list.
- Click Attach.
- If Add activity was selected, complete the Activity Category and Detail screens.
- Click OK.
