Initial Setup

The first time your agency accesses Real-Time, the Initial Account Setup Wizard guides you through the configuration process.

  1. From the Clients & Files area, click the Real-Time button and select Real-Time Interface.
  2. The Initial Account Setup Wizard window displays. Click Next.
  3. The Real-Time Connect dialog box displays, indicating that your setup process has begun. The messages displayed in this dialog box update you on the status of your configuration.
  4. When the Enter Company Codes window displays, you will be able to associate the interface products for different carriers with the company codes you have associated to those carriers in TAM.
    1. Highlight the first product in the list. If you are going to enter the same company code for multiple products, you may select multiple products at the same time by pressing the [Shift] or [Ctrl] key and highlighting carrier products.
    2. Click Enter Code to type in a company code, or Find Code to select it from a list. To enter multiple company codes for the same product, separate the codes with a semicolon.
    3. If you erroneously enter a code, highlight that product and click Remove Code.
    4. When you are done associating company codes, click Finish.
  5. Once you have associated codes to your products, you are ready to begin using them in Real-Time. Some carriers may require additional setup, such as establishing a username and password specific to the carrier. You will be prompted to do so the first time you run a transaction or inquiry.
