Install Policy Types
The Install Policy Types utility streamlines the task of creating policies in Clients & Files by enabling you to do the following:
- Predefine policy types for each type of business an agency writes.
- Set up values for items such as the policy term and department code, which appear automatically whenever you enter a policy of that type in Clients & Files.
- Design custom dec pages for policies for which a standard declaration page does not apply.
Do the following to access the Install Policy Types screen.
- At Home Base, click Utilities.
- On the Utility Manager screen, open the General folder in the treeview.
- Open the Policy Maintenance folder and select Install Policy Types.
- Click the arrow to continue.
The following buttons are available on the Install Policy Types screen:
- Add: Click to add a new policy type.
- Delete: Click to delete the currently displayed policy type.
- Dec Page: Click to create a custom dec page or view an existing custom dec page for the displayed policy type.
- List: Click to display and print a list of policy type attributes.
- OK: Click to save your changes on the current screen.
- Cancel: Click to end the workflow without saving your changes.
