System Setup
Use the following steps to access the System Setup options.
- At Home Base, click Tools on the menubar and select System Setup.
- The User Setup Options screen appears. Click the tabs to select the desired options.
Settings Tab
Select the Settings options as desired, then click OK to save your changes.
- Agency Branding: Allows a logo to print on memos, invoices, month-end statements, and receipts for cash.
- Cash Receipts and Disbursements: Display the prompt "Apply Credit Items Yes/No?" whenever a receipt/disbursement is applied to a client, without first checking to see whether open credit/debit items exist.
- Client Filter: Hides clients from users who lack the security clearance to view them.
- Color Code Activities: The Open Activities List on Home Base displays activities in red text when they are open beyond their follow-up dates.
- Color Code Claims: In the Claim List, claims display in red text when they pass the defined number of days from when the loss was reported.
- Color Code Policies: In the Clients & Files Policy List, displays expired policies in red text.
- Commission Default Indicator: On the Billing screen, Company, Producer and Broker codes appear in bold if commission defaults exist for the codes.
- Department Filter -Activities: Only the activities associated with the department(s) to which the user has permission display.
- Department Filter - Attachments: Only the attachments associated with the department(s) to which the user has permission display.
- Department Filter - Memos: Only the memos associated with the department(s) to which the user has permission display.
- Efiling - Delete Files After Routing: Deletes all files after routing, whether they appear in a defined, unrouted directory or not.
- Efiling - Encryption Off: Files routed into TAM will not be compressed when attached. See Efiling Setup for more information.
- Efiling - View Only Message: On the Attachment List, when you select Options, View Attachment (or double click the attachment), the "view-only" message always displays. Uncheck this to disable the message.
- Enable Broker Return: Allows an alternate payee to be selected when entering broker disbursement.
- Enable Company Edits: Enables the use of company-specific screens and edits provided by insurance carriers on application screens and when printing applications.
- Enable Location Validation: Enables validation of Accounts Receivables/Valuable Papers, Property, GL, and Boiler Machinery Application against the AP section.
Note: Selecting this option enables the Do Not Allow Blank Loc/Bldg #’s checkbox. If this option is checked, a value is required in the blg# field; a value of 000 is considered vacant land.
- fax@vantage: Enables Applied TAM integration with Applied fax@vantage.
- Front-End Scanning: Enables the front-end scanning functionality.
- Hide TAM Auto ID Option: Hides the Auto ID menu item. Recommended for organizations that use Applied CSR24.
- Hide TAM Certificate Option: Hides the Certificates menu item. Recommended for organizations that use Applied CSR24.
- Hide TAM Evidence of Property Option: Hides the Evidence of Property menu item. Recommended for organizations that use Applied CSR24.
- Hide TAM Liability Certificates Option: Hides the Liability Certificate menu item. Recommended for organizations that use Applied CSR24.
- In/Out Box - Hide TAM Login Status: Prevents user's TAM login status from displaying in Employee In/Out Box.
- Mailto: Enables Mailto functionality on the client (entity) detail screen.
- myTAM: Enables myTAM to be launched from the Home Base.
- Overwrite Client: Allows client information to be overwritten when moving prospects.
- Policy Quick View Print Shading: Removes shading from Policy Quick View printouts.
- Require Activities: Requires system-generated activities to be saved.
- Require History: Requires policy and application history to be saved.
- Scrolling Messages: Enables existing custom scrolling messages to appear on Home Base screen.
- Show Branch: Based on branch, asterisks will appear next to accessible clients.
- Signon - Remember Usercodes: Enables TAM to remember the last usercode entered on the signon screen and defaults it into the Usercode field at the next login.
- Suppress ACORD 42 Premise Diagram (pg 2): Changes the default to suppress printing the ACORD 42 Premise Diagram Page 2, when printing a Homeowners or Dwelling Fire Application.
- Suppress ACORD 42 Replacement Cost (pg 1): Changes the default to suppress printing the ACORD 42 Replacement Cost section Page 1, when printing a Homeowners or Dwelling Fire Application.
- Synchronize Conglomerate Children: Allows for updating billing screen and application information on conglomerate Child accounts when revising the information on the Parent account.
- TAM Integrated Email Messaging: When using Extended MAPI Integration, enables the TAM custom email form for sending email through TAM. Allows the ability to attach multiple attachments to an email, the ability to send and attach an email simultaneously, and the ability to use an email signature and retrieve TAM contact email addresses.
- TAM Messaging - Chat: Enables chat functionality through TAM Network Messaging. Not available for TAMCloud users.
- TAM Messaging - Enable: Enables TAM Network Message sending and receiving. Not available for TAMCloud users.
- TAM Messaging - Urgent Messages: Enables Urgent Message sending and receiving. Not available for TAMCloud users.
- Track: Logs deletions by program/user.
- Use User Date Locale: Enables user date locale for date display formatting (Activity Detail screen, Activity List, and Open Activities List).
- Use User Time Locale: Enables user date locale for time display formatting (Activity Detail screen, Activity List, and Open Activities List).
Efiling Tab
- Attachment Routed Paths: If you want to store routed attachments in a directory ( or directories) other than the default (svdr:\ATTACH), type the path to the directory in which to store routed attachments.
- Attachment Unrouted Paths: If you want to store unrouted attachments in a directory (or directories) other than the default (svdr:\ATTACH\UNROUTED), type the path to the directory in which to store unrouted attachments.
Note: Changing the unrouted path makes items acquired through front-end scanning inaccessible. Make sure you address all front-end scanned items before changing this path.
- Batch Scan Paths: Enter the directory in which you want to store the multi-page file created during a batch scan.
- Front-End Scanning: You can set items recycled via the Image Inbox to automatically delete after a certain number of days.
- Attachment Prohibited List: To designate certain file types as prohibited, enter the extension for that file type and click the arrow to add it to the list.
- Previewable Image Extensions: To preview an image type in the attachment list, double click the image file extensions to move them to the list.
- Scan File Type: Determine whether documents scanned into Applied TAM are created as TIF files or PDF files.
Miscellaneous Tab
Help
Enter the file name to allow users to access agency-specific help files (.CHM files) through the Help menu. Click the ellipsis button
to select a path to an agency-specific help file. Click OK to save your changes.
Urgent Activity Categories
The Urgent Activity Categories are used to enable the Urgent Activity Indicator.
