Accounting Notes
Choose this option to view or create internal accounting notes. These notes will not print on the invoice.
Accounting notes can be created on Transactions, Cash Receipts, Journal Entries, Cash Disbursements, and Vouchers.
- From Home Base, click Clients & Files.
- In the Customers list, select the desired customer and click the Invoices button.
- In the Transaction List, click the transaction to which you wish to add a note.
- Click Detail.
- Select the item in the list, and from the Options menu, select Notes. Any previous notes are displayed in the Note field.
- To add a new note, type the text in the Note field. To clear the existing note, click Clear Note.
- Click the checkbox next to the desired Report Option if desired. If an accounting note is attached to an item in the list, the item displays with an asterisk next to it. Access the item in TAM to view the accounting note.
- Click OK to add the new note and return to the Transaction List.
