Client Attachments
In Client Attachments, you
can access attachments associated to selected clients. You can add an
attachment, edit the attachmentâs description, view the attachment, save
an attachment, and delete attachments.
When you access client attachments from Desktop
Navigation, the Attachments
button in the Client Information
section displays a visual indication (a blue dot) on the top right
if there is at least one client attachment on the client
account. To quickly identify the attachments on the client account, hover
over the button to display the Description
for each attachment. If there are four or fewer attachments, all display.
If there are five or more attachments, the three most recent attachments
display along with the number of additional attachments available.
Adding Attachments
- Access Client
Attachments via the list buttons, menu or options bar.
- The Client Attachments
screen displays. Click the Add
button to locate the file to attach it to the client.
- The attachment displays in the list. The description of the file
defaults with the file name. Click within the Description
field to change it, if necessary.
- Click the View
button to view the attachments contents.
- Click the Save
As button to save the selected attachment on your computer
if needed.
- Click OK
to add the files as attachments to the client, or click Cancel to discard the changes.
Adding Attachments Using Drag and Drop
- Select one or multiple files on your computer.
- Click and drag the files to the screen in Applied Rating Services
and drop them anywhere on the screen where the
mouse
icon displays when hovering over it.
- The Client Attachments
screen displays. The description of the file defaults with the file
name. Click within the Description
field to change it, if necessary.
- Click the
View button to view the attachments contents.
- Click the Save
As button to save the selected attachment on computer if needed.
- Click OK
to add the files as attachments to the client, or click Cancel to discard the changes.
Editing Attachments
- Access Client
Attachments via the list buttons, menu or options bar.
- From the list of attachments, select the attachment you want to
edit.
Note: If
you have trouble finding an attachment, sort the list in ascending
or descending order by clicking the heading of the column you want
to sort by. If attachment details are truncated, adjust the column
width by clicking and dragging the edge of the column heading to view
the entire attachment detail.
- Click in the Description
field to edit the description of the selected attachment.
- Click OK
to save the changes.
Viewing Attachments
- Access
Client Attachments via the list buttons, menu or options bar.
- Select the attachment you want to view from the list of attachments.
Note: If
you have trouble finding an attachment, sort the list in ascending
or descending order by clicking the heading of the column you want
to sort by. If attachment details are truncated, adjust the column
width by clicking and dragging the edge of the column heading to view
the entire attachment detail.
- Click the View
button.
- The attachment opens in the program designated for its file type.
Exporting Attachments
- Access
Client Attachments via the list buttons, menu or options bar.
- Select the attachment you want to export from the list of attachments.
- Click the Save As button.
- Navigate to the folder where you want to save the attachment on
your computer.
- Click the Save
button.
Deleting Attachments
- Access
Client Attachments via the list buttons, menu or options bar.
- Select one or multiple attachments in the list.
- Click the Delete
button.
- Click the Yes
button to confirm the deletion.
