Client Merge

With Client Merge, you can move a client’s information and merge it to another client in Applied Rating Services. The information that is merged includes Client Quotes, Attachments, Notes, and Memos.

  1. From the Desktop Navigation screen click Client > Merge on the menubar.
  2. The Client Merge screen displays. The Destination Client’s Information is pulled from the client that was displaying on the Desktop Navigation screen.
  3. Click the Search button to locate a client
  4. The Client Screen displays. If needed, click the Locate by dropdown to select other search criteria.

    Enter or select search criteria in the second field depending on what was selected in the Locate By dropdown.

    Note: Click the + button to add additional criteria if needed. To remove criteria, click the – button to remove it.
  1. Click the Locate button to display results in the list.
  2. Select the client in the list and click OK.
  3. Click OK to finish locating the client.
  4. The Source Client’s Information and Quotes display. Check the Delete Source Client on Merge and/or Move Source Client’s Memos on Merge checkboxes if needed.

    Note: Move Source Client’s Memos on Merge checkbox defaults checked.
  5. Click the Merge button to merge the clients
  6. Click OK on the Merge completed successfully screen.
  7. Once you have finished merging clients, click the Close button to close the screen.
