CSIO Application

When a client has accepted a quote from a carrier, you can complete the CSIO application within Applied Rating Services. Completing the application enables you to print, email, attach, and/or send the CSIO application and the Pre-Authorized Payment Form from within the system. Additionally, you can automatically integrate the completed CSIO application to your Broker Management System. The CSIO Application feature is available only if your brokerage has the application licence.

For AutoRater quotes, the AutoRater Supplementary Application Details screens in the Cloud version of Applied Rating Services (Applied Rating Services 2022 MU3 and later) use tab-based navigation. For Ontario AutoRater quotes, tab-based navigation is available in Applied Rating 2022 MU2 and later. The AutoRater Supplementary Application Details screens include the following attributes and functionality:

Note: When using Rating Services Cloud, you cannot change information returned by a quote in the AutoRater Supplementary Application Details screens as the Modify Quote tab is not available.

Accessing the CSIO Application

Access the CSIO Application via the list button or the options bar.

The Supplementary Data screen displays; from here, the CSIO application can be completed or the quote details can be modified for the quote.

The Supplementary Data/Supplementary Application Details screen displays; from this screen, you can complete the CSIO application, modify the quote details (not available on the Supplementary Application Details screen or for PropertyRater quotes), and access Document Centre to print the CSIO application.

Completing the Non-Quoted Data

Supplementary Application Details

The Supplementary Application Details screen displays for AutoRater quotes using the Cloud version of Applied Rating Services (Applied Rating Services 2022 MU3 and later). For Ontario AutoRater quotes, the Supplementary Application Details screen displays in Applied Rating 2022 MU2 and later. The tabs in the Supplementary Application Details screen contain all non-quoted information fields for the CSIO application. Underwriting information displays in the CSIO application. Additionally, only questions not addressed in the quoting process or not answered in the underwriting screen display in the application.

Billing tab information displays in the Pre-Authorized Payment Form, which enables you send it to the client at the same time you send the application and/or additional information.

  1. The Policy tab defaults to selected. Click on each tab of the CSIO application, enter information in the fields, select options from dropdown menus, and answer questions with Yes or No in the screens for the application.

    When navigating to a tab (either through the Previous/Next buttons, or tab selection) or closing the Summary Application Details screen, your changes are saved automatically.

    To delete the information entered within a collapsible section within a tab, click the Remove button that displays within the collapsible heading then click the Confirm button in the Confirm Removal pop-up window.
  2. Click Print to print the CSIO application.

    Click the X button to save the changes and close the screen.

Supplementary Data

The CSIO tab contains all non-quoted information fields for the CSIO application in the Supplementary Data screen. Underwriting information displays in the CSIO application. Additionally, only questions not addressed in the quoting process or not answered in the underwriting screen display in the application.

Completing the Payment/Billing section populates the information in the Pre-Authorized Payment Form, which enables you send it to the client at the same time you send the application and/or additional information.

  1. The CSIO tab defaults to selected. Click in each section of the CSIO application, enter information in the fields, select options from dropdown menus, and answer questions with Yes or No in the screens for the application.
  2. Click Print to print the CSIO application.

    Click Save & Exit to save the changes in the application.

    Click Cancel to close the screen and discard your changes.

Modifying the Quoted Details

Note: The Modify Quote tab is not available in the AutoRater Supplementary Application Details screens when using Rating Services Cloud.

The Modify Quote tab, which is only available in Applied AutoRater, allows for the modification of details returned by the quote. Any modification you make is highlighted in yellow. Once the quote modifications are saved, they can be used on the CSIO Application and Pre-Authorized Payment Form when printing, emailing, attaching or sending to eSignature by selecting the Application (Modified) and Pre-Authorized Payment Form (Modified) options in Document Centre. Additionally, the quote modifications can be integrated to your Broker Management System.

It is important to note that quote modifications are specific to the quote and carrier selected at the time they are made. Changing the quote in any way, or saving with a different carrier, will remove any saved quote modifications.

  1. From the Supplementary Data screen, click the Modify Quote tab.
  2. In the treeview, Policy Totals defaults. The Totals section provides you with a read-only view of the total premiums for each vehicle as well as any Handling Charge and Tax Applied to generate the Total Estimated Premium.

    The Payment Plan section provides you the Down Payment Amount, Full Payment Amount, and the Installment Amount for the CSIO Pre-Authorized Payment Form. Depending on the Plan Type selected, revise or enter amounts in these fields as necessary.
  3. Select a vehicle in the treeview to view the vehicles quoted details.
  4. The quoted details for the selected vehicle displays.

You can modify the following quoted details for a vehicle from here:

  1. Repeat the steps above for each vehicle on the quote that require quote modification updates.
  2. Click Print if you are ready to print the completed CSIO application.

    Click Save & Exit to save the changes you made on the application.

    Click Cancel to close the screen and lose your changes.

Restore Quoted Details

If for any reason you need to revert to the original quoted details, you can remove all your user modifications from all vehicles on the quote and restore the quote details with one click from the Supplementary Data screen or the Modify Quote tab.

  1. Click the Restore button on the Modify Quote tab or on the Modify Quoted Details header bar when a vehicle in selected in the treeview list.

  1. A warning message displays. Click OK to remove all user modifications from all vehicles and restore quoted details.
