Locating a Client

There are two ways to search for a client from the Desktop Navigation in Applied Rating Services: the Locate button on the options bar for a quick client search, and the Client menu option for an advanced, multiple-criteria search.

Locate Button Quick Search

  1. Click the Locate button on the options bar.
  2. Click the dropdown menu to select other search criteria; the default criteria is the Client Name. The following search criteria are available here:

Note: The last criteria used will be saved as the default for the next time you launch Applied Rating Services.

  1. Enter text in the Search field. As you type, results will display matching your criteria.
  2. Select a result in the list to populate the client information on the desktop.

Locate – Advanced Search

  1. Click Client > Locate on the menubar or click on the Advanced button from the Locate Quick Search button on the options bar.
  2. The Client Locate screen displays. Click the Locate by dropdown to select other search criteria. The following search criteria are available here:

Enter or select search criteria in the field next to the Locate By criteria.

Note: The last criteria used will be saved as the default for the next time you launch Applied Rating Services

  1. If needed additional criteria can be added by clicking the + button. To remove criteria click the – button to remove it.
  2. Click the Locate button to show results in the list.
  3. Select the client from the list.
  4. Click OK to populate the client information on the Desktop Navigation screen, or click Cancel to discard the search and return to the desktop.
