Re-Quote an Existing Property Quote
Note: Any
changes made while re-quoting an existing property quote will permanently
change the quote. If you do not wish to alter the original quote, use
Copy &
Re-quote instead.
- To re-quote a property quote, begin by locating a client from Desktop
Navigation in Applied Rating Services.
To locate an existing client, complete one of the following workflows:
- Click the Locate
button on the options bar to access a client, then
- Click the dropdown menu to select other search criteria
or click the Advanced
button to add multiple search criteria.
- Enter your search criteria in the Search
field
- Select the client
in the Results list
- Click the Locate
option in the Client
menu on the menubar to access a client.
- Click Client
> Locate on the menubar.
- Click the dropdown
arrow to select other search criteria; click the plus sign
to add additional search criteria if needed.
- Enter your search criteria in the Search
field.
- Click the Locate
button.
- In the Results
list, select the client
and click OK.
- Select the desired quote
in the Quote Summary list.
- To re-quote an existing/saved quote, do one of the following:
- Right click and select Re-Quote
from the dropdown menu.
- Click Quote
> Re-Quote on the menubar.
- Click the Edit/View
button in the Quote Summary
side menu and select
Re-Quote.
- Double click the Quote
in the Quote Summary list.
- The Quote Information
screen displays. Revise any information on this screen, if needed,
and click OK
to continue to the next screen.
- The Additional Customer information
screen displays only if the insurance carriers that your agency are
licensed for use a credit score to help assess risk and determine
a premium.
- The
Property Underwriting screen
displays. Revise or complete the information on the Insured,
General and/or Additional
tabs.
To add an additional dwelling to the quote, click the Add button
and select
Homeowners, Condominiums,
Tenants, Seasonal, Rented Dwelling, Rented Condo, or Secondary Homeowners
from the dropdown menu.
If you are adding a new Primary dwelling type to the quote, you are
prompted to convert the current Primary dwelling into an available
secondary type and confirm the new Primary dwelling and the dwelling
conversion.
Note: The
options in the dropdown menu display only if the carriers you are
licensed for in the selected province support that type of Additional
Dwelling.
The maximum number of dwellings on a quote is six (one primary, and
five secondary dwellings of any combination) and multiple secondary
dwellings of the same type can be added on the quote. Enter information
for the secondary dwellings in the same way you would for the primary
dwelling.
You can easily switch between dwellings by selecting the dwelling in
the Locations list. The information
for the selected dwelling displays in the General
and Additional tabs.
To delete a dwelling from the quote, select the dwelling
in the Locations list, click
the Delete
button
and click Yes
on the pop-up message to delete the selected dwelling.
Note: You
cannot delete the primary dwelling-only secondary dwellings may be
deleted.
- Click Quote
on the options bar or Quote
> Process Quote on the menubar to proceed with the quote.
Note: If
there is information that is required to proceed with the quote that
is missing, the Validation
tab will display with the information that needs to be filled out
to proceed with the quote. Missing information that may affect the
rating if left blank displays on the Validation
tab.
- The Premium Summary screen
displays with the Summary
section showing all company quotes.
The following information displays in the
columns on the Premium Summary
screen:
- The
column displays icons that link
to a PDF file. For example, this may be used to promote a feature
or discount.
- The
column displays icons that link
to a URL, such as a website for promotion details.
- The
column displays icons that represent
the type of quote risk with that carrier.
- The Carrier column
displays the company’s name.
- The Form column displays
the company form used for this quote.
- The Total column displays
the total premium for this quote.
- The Monthly column
displays the monthly premium for this quote.
Click on the company
name on
the Premium Summary screen
or in the list of companies that displays on the left side of the
screen to see the quote details for that company.
The Carrier Detail screen
for the selected company displays the details of the quote.
Note: If
there are Policy and/or Risk related messages that pertain to this
quote for the selected company, a Message
section displays below the Rates
section. It is important to review them since they contain important
information regarding the quote. For example, a risk may not qualify
even though a quote was generated with the company; the messages displayed
here will tell you whether or not they qualify.
Completed quotes can be modified in the following ways:
- You have the option to complete the CSIO application with Applied
Rating Services.
- Click the Hab App button
on the options bar to launch the Supplementary
Data screen.
- Click on each section of the CSIO application to fill out the
information and questions that are presented on the screens for
the application.
- Click Print
if you have completed the CSIO application and are ready to print
the CSIO application.
Click Save
& Exit if you did not fill out all the required information
and wish to save the changes you made to the application.
Click Cancel
to close the screen and lose your changes.
- When finished with the quote do one of the following:
- Click Save
on the options bar or File
> Save on the menubar to save the quote then click File > Exit
to exit the screen and leave the quote in Applied Rating Services.
- Click Integration
> Company Integration to upload the quote to the selected
insurance company
Note: This
option is available only to licensed and supported carriers.
- Click Integration
> Save and Export to Broker Management System to send
the quote information to your broker management system.
Note: If
your Broker Management system is either Applied TAM or Applied
Epic, the option will display as Save
and Export to Applied TAM or Save
and Export to Applied Epic.
