User Initiated Discounts and Surcharges

Applied Rating Services enables you to add carrier discounts and surcharges that pertain to vehicle(s) and driver(s) when completing the information on the underwriting screen for the policy quote.  

1. To access User Initiated Discounts and Surcharges from the underwriting screen, click Prem Adj > User Initiated Discounts and Surcharges on the options bar.
2. On the User Initiated Discounts and Surcharges screen, select the vehicle and driver.
3. Select the carrier’s discount or surcharge in the Carrier Specific Discounts and Surcharges list that applies to the selected vehicle and driver.
   
   Note: When a Discount or Surcharge is selected, the title and description of the Discount or Surcharge displays in the Details section.
4. Click the Add button to add the discount or surcharge to the selected vehicle and driver.
   
   Note: To remove a discount or surcharge, click the Remove button.
5. Click OK to accept the changes and exit the screen, or click Cancel to discard the changes and exit the screen.
