Accounting Methods Configuration

Use this feature to specify how an agency will realize income, pay brokers, and pay producers. The accounting month selected will be the month in which the changes become effective. You can install the accounting methods can be done at a later date; however, manual entries/tracking must be done depending on the modifications made. It is highly recommended that research be done prior to installing the accounting methods for your agency so that modifications are not needed later.

WARNING:  Making changes to these agencies might require you to make some manual entries. For this reason, please contact Applied Systems's Support department for assistance if you need to make changes to existing settings for an agency.

Note: This article contains printing instructions that are only applicable if Applied Epic is installed locally on your computer. If you access Epic through a web browser such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge, you cannot print directly from within the system. See Printing for more information about the printing capabilities available from Epic Browser. All other steps in this article are applicable to both methods of accessing Epic unless stated otherwise.

  1. From the Home screen, do one of the following:
     

From any other area of the program, do one of the following:

  1. Click Accounting on the navigation panel or Areas > Accounting on the menubar.
  2. Click Accounting Methods on the navigation panel.

A list of agencies that are in your system displays. To change the sort order, click the column heading by which you wish to sort.
