Liability Insurance Card Configuration

Liability insurance card is a term used for Canadian auto ID cards. This should not be confused with a certificate of liability.

You cannot edit either of the CSIO standard configurations that are pre-installed in Applied Epic, other than to change the Cards issued per vehicle field.

1. From the Home screen, do one of the following:
   
   
   • Click Configure on the navigation panel.
   • Click the down arrow next to Home on the menubar and select Configure.
   • Click Areas > Configure on the menubar.

From any other area of the program, do one of the following:

2. • Click the down arrow to the right of the Home options bar button and select Configure.
   • Click Home > Configure on the menubar. The Configure screen displays.
     

2. Click Proofs on the navigation panel or Areas > Proofs on the menubar.
3. Click Liability Certificates on the navigation panel.

2. • Add a Liability Insurance Cards Configuration
     1. Do one of the following:
        • Click the Add button to the left of the list.
        • Press [Insert] on your keyboard.
     2. Two tabs display:
        • Detail
          1. Enter a Card height.
          2. Specify the correct number in the Card(s) per page field.
          3. Select a Font size.
          4. Choose a Date format.
          5. Select the Default card checkbox if you wish to make this the default liability card.
          6. The active language displays in the Language dropdown menu and is based on your Primary Language as set up in Regional Settings Configuration.
          7. Enter a form Description.
             1. If you have more than one language available, the Description you enter populates for every language.
             2. To change the Description that will display in a different language, select the Language from the list or the dropdown menu and enter a Description.
             3. The Update matching descriptions in other languages options defaults as checked or unchecked based on your previous selection for it. The option cannot be changed during this workflow.
        • Pre-Printed Card Fields
          1. To select the fields to print on the certificates, click the Add button to the left of the list or press [Insert] on your keyboard.
          2. In the Pre-Printed Card Fields window that displays, select the checkbox next to each field that appears on the card. Click Finish or press [Enter] when you have made the selections.
          3. To specify the exact location on the card where each field should print, select the appropriate field in the list. Enter the correct numbers in the Row and Column fields below.
             
             To remove a field from the list, click on the field and then click the Delete button to the left of the list or press [Delete] on your keyboard.
     3. Click Finish or press [Enter] to complete the record.
        
        Click Add to add this record and create another one.
        
        Click Cancel or press [Esc] to exit the workflow without saving changes. You are prompted: "Do you wish to discard changes?" Click Yes.
   • Edit a Liability Insurance Cards Configuration
     1. Click to highlight the correct liability certificate configuration and then do one of the following:
        • Click the Edit button .
        • Press [Enter].
        • Double click the liability certificate.
     2. Two tabs display:
        • Detail
          1. Select the Default card checkbox if you wish to make this the default liability card.
          2. Enter a form Description.
             1. If the Update matching descriptions in other languages option is checked and descriptions for more than one language match, any change you make to one description will be applied to the other description after you click Finish. Deselect this box if you prefer to update each description individually.
        • Pre-Printed Card Fields
          1. To select the fields to print on the certificates, click the Add button to the left of the list or press [Insert] on your keyboard.
          2. In the Pre-Printed Card Fields window that displays, select the checkbox next to each field that appears on the card. Click Finish or press [Enter] when you have made the selections.
          3. To specify the exact location on the card where each field should print, select the appropriate field in the list. Enter the correct numbers in the Row and Column fields below.

   • Delete a Liability Insurance Cards Configuration

     1. Click to highlight the liability certificate configuration that you wish to delete in the list, and then do one of the following:
        • Click the Delete button to the left of the list.
        • Press [Delete] on your keyboard.
     2. You are prompted: "Do you wish to delete this record?" Click Yes.

   • Print a List of Liability Insurance Cards Configurations

     1. To print the list of the liability certificate configurations, do one of the following:
        • Click the Print button to the left of the list.
        • Click Print > Listview on the options bar.
        • Click File > Print > Listview on the menubar.
     2. Print this list as you would any other document.
