Send PDF Batch to Drive

If you system is configured to allow users to save local copies of auto ID cards, certificates, and/or evidences of insurance, you can use the functionality on this screen to group these items together into PDF batches. You can send individual batches or all batches to a single ZIP file as needed.

Batches only contain files of the following types: PDF, DOC, DOCX, DOCM, XLS, XLSX, XLSM, CSV, TXT, TIF, TIFF, GIF, .GIFF, JPG, JPEG, JPE, BMP, and MSG.

1. From the Home screen, do one of the following:
   

   • Click Procedures on the navigation panel.
   • Click Areas > Procedures on the menubar.
   • Click the down arrow next to Home on the options bar and select Procedures.

From any other area of the program, do one of the following:

2. • Click the down arrow to the right of the Home options bar button and select Procedures.
   • Click Home > Procedures on the menubar.

2. Click Policy on the navigation panel or Areas > Policy on the menubar.
3. Click Send PDF Batch to Drive on the navigation panel.
4. Change the PDF batches that display in the list if necessary.

   1. Click the phrase "PDF Batches" in the view filter.

   

    

   A list of choices displays:

   1. • Certificates - PDF Batches
      • Evidences - PDF Batches
      • Auto ID cards - PDF Batches

   2. Click on the appropriate selection.

   If you wish to narrow the list of batches that displays, use the search bar above the list to specify the policies that you want to see.

    

   

    

   These are the choices in the first dropdown menu:

   • Account Name
   • Entered By
   • Title

   The choices available in the second dropdown menu vary, depending on the selection you made in the first dropdown.

   • Equals: Enter the search criterion (e.g., the full description or folder name) in the field to the right, or select the correct date from the dropdown calendar (if applicable). Click Find.
   • Contains: Enter at least one letter or number of the search criterion (e.g., part of the description or claim number) in the field to the right. Click Find.

   You can apply multiple filters if necessary.

   1. To apply multiple filters to the list, do one of the following:
   • Click the Edit Filter button . 
   • Press [Ctrl] + E.
   2. The Edit Filter pop-up window displays. 
      
      Note: You can also use the Edit Filter button, rather than the search bar, to apply a single filter to the list if you prefer.

   

   3. Select and/or enter your desired search criteria using the dropdown menus and fields, and then click the Add button. The Name, Compare Type, and Criteria for your filter display in the list. Click one of these column headings to sort the list by that column. To reverse the sort order, click the column heading again.
   4. To apply additional filters, enter additional search criteria and continue clicking Add. To remove a filter from the list, select it and click the Delete button.
   5. Click Finish when you have applied all of your desired filters.
      
      To exit the dialog without applying any filters, click Cancel.
5. By default, all checkboxes are selected. If necessary, deselect the checkbox for any item you do not want to include in the batch.
6. Click Actions > Save PDF Batch to Drive on the options bar or menubar.
7. The Send PDF to Drive pop-up window displays. Click Yes to continue, or No to exit without creating a PDF batch.
   Note: Generating a PDF batch for a selected item in the list removes that item from the list.
8. A ZIP file is created, containing all items selected. The destination of the ZIP file depends on the way you access Applied Epic:
• If you access Epic through a web browser, the file saves to your browser's default Downloads folder.
• If Epic is installed locally on your computer, you are prompted to select the destination.
