Use a multi-carrier schedule for a participation or subscription policy (in which the policy’s primary carrier shares a large or complex risk with other carriers).
The Activate/Inactivate Multi-Carrier Schedule action enables you to designate a policy as a multi-carrier participation/subscription policy if you did not select the Multi-carrier schedule checkbox when adding the policy, or to remove this designation if it is no longer accurate.
Note: Click the Sort Descending link to sort the policies by date starting with the most recent.
Do one of the
following:
You cannot activate a Multi-Carrier Schedule if Multi-Commissions or a multi-term commission schedule are active for the policy. To activate a Multi-Carrier Schedule, you must first inactivate Multi-Commissions. For more information about multi-term commission schedules, see Edit/View Policy.
You are prompted to confirm the action. Click Yes.
If you activated a multi-carrier
schedule on the policy, a Multi-Carrier
Schedule navigation tab displays in the Servicing/Billing
section of policy detail. This tab enables you to enter the multi-carrier
participation splits. For more information on multi-carrier splits, see
Edit/View Policy. A Multi-Carrier
Schedule link label also displays in the Policy
Detail section below the Policies
list, which enables you to access the schedule quickly.
If you inactivated the policy’s multi-carrier schedule, the multi-carrier splits entered on the policy are inactivated if they are associated to transactions or deleted if they are not. Inactivating the schedule also removes the Multi-Carrier Schedule navigation tab and link label.
