You can send SMS messages to contacts who have opted in to receive your organization’s text messages from almost anywhere in Applied Epic. However, you cannot send MMS messages, only receive them.

Important! Before texting clients, you must obtain their consent. Familiarize yourself with U.S. laws on text communications before you begin using this functionality.

  4. Change the Sent from selection if necessary. You may either send the message from your own employee code or from the structure to which you belong.
  5. In the Attach to section, optionally associate this message to an existing Activity for the account. This association can be useful when you text a prospect or client as part of a sales or servicing workflow.
  6. Click Finish to send the message, or Cancel to close the pop-up without sending the message.

When you receive a reply to your message, a notification will display. Navigate to the Unrouted SMS area to view your messages and route them to the appropriate client accounts. You can view messages you have sent and replies you have received and routed in the client’s SMS History.
