ZIP/Postal Code Configuration

Applied Epic contains a standard/base list of ZIP/postal codes that is updated with each release. In this area, you can install additional codes and edit or delete existing codes.

1. From the Home screen, do one of the following:
   
   • Click Configure on the navigation panel.
   • Click Areas > Configure on the menubar.
   • Click the down arrow next to Home on the options bar and select Configure.

From any other area of the program, do one of the following:

1. • Click the down arrow to the right of the Home options bar button and select Configure.
   • Click Home > Configure on the menubar. The Configure screen displays.

2. Click Account on the navigation panel or Areas > Account on the menubar.
3. Click Zip/Postal Codes on the navigation panel.
4. The ZIP/Postal Codes – United States of America or ZIP/Postal Codes – Canada screen displays, depending on the default country established in Regional Settings Configuration. Click the view filter at the top of the screen to access information for the alternate country.
5. To display a list of codes, in the Locate by frame, select Code or City. Enter at least one number or letter in the Begins with field and click Locate or press [Enter]. If more than 500 results are found, you must enter more than one letter or number.
6. The list populates with codes matching your criteria. Click any of the column headings in the list to sort by that column. Click the column heading again to sort in the reverse order.

2. • Add a Code
     1. Do one of the following:
        • Click the Add button to the left of the list.
        • Press [Insert] on your keyboard.
     2. Enter a ZIP Code or Postal Code in the field to the right.
     3. Enter the name of the City to which the zip code belongs.
     4. Enter the two-letter State or Province code, or click the down arrow to the right of the field to select from a dropdown list.
     5. Click Finish or press [Enter] to complete the record.
        
        Click Add to add this record and create another one.
        
        Click Cancel or press [Esc] to exit the workflow without saving changes. You are prompted: "Do you wish to discard changes?" Click Yes.
   • Edit a Code
     1. Select the code you wish to delete.
     2. Do one of the following:
        • Click the Edit button to the left of the list.
        • Click File, Open on the menubar.
        • Double click the code.
        • Press [Enter].
     3. Revise the information in the fields to the right.
     4. Click Finish or press [Enter] to complete the record.
        
        Click Cancel to exit the workflow without saving changes. You are prompted: "Do you wish to discard changes?" Click Yes.
   • Delete a Code
     1. Select the code you wish to delete.
     2. Do one of the following:
        • Click the Delete button to the left of the list.
        • Click File, Delete on the menubar.
        • Press [Delete] on your keyboard.
     3. You are prompted: "Do you wish to delete this record?" Click Yes.
   • Print a List of Codes
     1. To print the currently displayed list, do one of the following:
        • Click the Print button to the left of the list.
        • Click Print, Listview on the options bar.
        • Click File > Print > Listview on the menubar.
     2. Print this list as you would any other document.
