Statement Layout Configuration

Note: This article contains printing instructions that are only applicable if Applied Epic is installed locally on your computer. If you access Epic through a web browser such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge, you cannot print directly from within the system. See Printing for more information about the printing capabilities available from Epic Browser. All other steps in this article are applicable to both methods of accessing Epic unless stated otherwise.

If you access Applied Epic using a web browser, you must install Layout Builder from Help > Connection Suite to add and edit layouts.

From the Home screen, do one of the following:

Click Configure on the navigation panel.
Click Areas > Configure on the menubar.
Click the down arrow next to Home on the options bar and select Configure.

From any other area of the program, do one of the following:

Click the down arrow to the right of the Home options bar button and select Configure.
Click Home > Configure on the menubar. The Configure screen displays.

Click Accounting on the navigation panel or Areas > Accounting on the menubar.

Click Statement Layout on the navigation panel.

You can do the following from here:

Add a Statement Layout
1. Do one of the following:
  - Click the Add button to the left of the list.
  - With focus on the list, press [Insert] on your keyboard.
  - Press [Ctrl] + N.
2. The active Language displays in the Language dropdown menu and is based on your Primary Language setting in Regional Settings Configuration.
3. Enter a Name for this statement layout.
  - If you have more than one language available, the Name you enter populates for every language.
  - To change the Name that will display in a different language, select the Language from the list or the dropdown menu and enter a Name.
4. Choose a Format for the layout:
  - Open Item: Each item has information displayed on its own detail row.
  - Simplified Open Item: All information displays on a single line on the statement.
5. Select the kind of Accounts to which the statement will apply:
  - Broker
  - Client
  - Finance Company
  - Other Interest
6. Optionally add Comments.
7. Click Finish or press [Enter] to complete the record.
  
  Click Cancel or press [Esc] to exit the workflow without saving changes. You are prompted, "Do you wish to discard changes?" Click Yes.

Edit Statement Layout Information
1. Click to highlight the statement layout in the list and then do one of the following:
  - Click the Edit button to the left of the list.
  - Click File > Open on the menubar.
  - Press [Ctrl] + O.
2. Revise the information in the fields on the right.
3. Click Finish or press [Enter] to complete the record.
Click Cancel or press [Esc] to exit the workflow without saving changes.

Copy a Statement Layout
1. Click to highlight the statement layout in the list and then do one of the following:
  - Click Actions > Copy Statement Layout.
  - Right click the layout and select Copy Statement Layout.
2. Revise the information in the fields on the right.
3. Click Finish or press [Enter] to complete the record.
Click Cancel or press [Esc] to exit the workflow without saving changes.

Delete a Statement Layout
Please note that you cannot delete a statement layout that is currently applied to a client.
1. Click to highlight the statement layout in the list on the right.
2. Do one of the following:
  - Click the Delete button to the left of the list.
  - Press [Delete] on your keyboard.
  - Press [Ctrl] + D.
3. You are prompted, "Do you wish to delete this record?" Click Yes.
Print a List of Statement Layouts
1. To print a list of statement layouts in Applied Epic, do one of the following:
  - Click the Print button next to the list.
  - Click Print > Listview on the options bar.
  - Click File > Print > Listview on the menubar.
2. The Print window displays. Print this list as you would any other document.
Reassign Statement Layout
1. Click to highlight the statement layout in the list and then do one of the following:
2. - Click Actions > Reassign Statement Layout on the options bar.
  - Click Actions > Reassign Statement Layout on the menubar.
  - Right click on the Statement and select Reassign Statement Layout.
1. Click on a criterion and amend the criteria as needed.
  - Agency: Choose All or Selected agencies. If you choose Selected, select the appropriate agency in the dropdown menu and click Add. You can add more agencies to the list in the same manner.
  - Branch: Choose All or Selected branches. If you choose Selected, select the appropriate branch in the dropdown menu and click Add. You can add more branches to the list in the same manner.
  - Account Type: Choose All or Selected account types. If you choose Selected, select the appropriate type in the dropdown menu and click Add. You can add more account types to the list in the same manner.
  - Type of Business: Choose All or Selected types of business. If you choose Selected, select the appropriate type in the dropdown menu and click Add. You can add more types of business to the list in the same manner.
  - Client Type: Select the Insured, Prospect, or Both radio button.
  - Current Statement Layout: Choose All or Selected statement layouts. If you choose Selected, select the appropriate layout in the dropdown menu and click Add. You can add more statement layouts to the list in the same manner.
  - New Statement Layout: Select a Statement layout in the dropdown menu.
Revert to Default Layout
1. To revert to the default layout for a given statement, click to highlight the statement layout in the list and then do one of the following:
2. - Click Actions > Revert to Default Layout on the options bar.
  - Click Actions > Revert to Default Layout on the menubar.
  - Right click the layout and select Revert to Default Layout.
1. You are prompted, "This action will reset the details and layout to the original setting. Do you wish to revert to the ASI original layout?" Click Yes.
