This screen allows you to create Confidential Client Access Groups containing Employees (Members) and Clients.
Many employees in your organization might require access to a given confidential client account. Likewise, you may have numerous clients in your system whose accounts require employees to have special access. You can easily manage access to an account or group of accounts by assigning employees and clients to a Confidential Client Access Group. Confidential Client Access Groups provide Epic Administrators a powerful yet easy-to-use method of granting account access to a large number of clients at one time, instead of having to assign access on a client-by-client basis.
As an Epic administrator, you can configure your system security to allow you to assign specific user access to certain accounts. This security includes, but is not limited to, locating an account, viewing any account information via report, and accessing an account detail.
Note: This article contains printing instructions that are only applicable if Applied Epic is installed locally on your computer. If you access Epic through a web browser such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge, you cannot print directly from within the system. See Printing for more information about the printing capabilities available from Epic Browser. All other steps in this article are applicable to both methods of accessing Epic unless stated otherwise.
To set up this security feature for VIP clients and employees you insure, do the following.
Click File > Delete on the menubar.
Press [Delete] on your keyboard.
If you remove a client from all Confidential Client Access Groups, only employees assigned a servicing role on the client’s account will be able to access it. To allow all employees to access the client instead, navigate to the Confidential Client Access tab in Client Detail and select the All radio button.
Press [Delete] on your keyboard.
When you delete a Confidential Client Access Group, only employees assigned a servicing role on the client accounts that previously belonged to that group will be able to access them (unless the clients belong to other Confidential Client Access Groups). To allow all employees to access these accounts instead, navigate to the Confidential Client Access tab in Client Detail for each client and select the All radio button.
You are prompted, "Do you wish to delete this record?" Click Yes.
