Commercial Info List

Commercial client information screens are accessed from the Commercial Info List. Commercial info screens are generally used for Commercial Lines clients, though they may also be used to store business information for Personal Lines clients. The information entered on these screens does not integrate with client applications; it is for reference and marketing purposes only.

Use the following steps to access the Commercial Info List.

  1. At Home Base, click Clients & Files.
  2. Select Customers or Prospects from the dropdown menu above the list.
  3. In the list, select the client whose information you want to view and click the Commercial Info List button.

Click the links below for the following workflows.

The client's code and name display at the top of the Commercial Info List screen.

Commercial info screens are listed by Date of Coverage, Reference Number, SIC Code, NAICS Code, and Description of Business.

  1. Type a description of the business.
  2. From the dropdown calendar, select the Date of 1st Coverage, and enter the policy number for that coverage in the Reference # field.
  3. Double click in the SIC Code and NAICS Code fields to select the appropriate codes. Click here for more information.
  4. Enter the following information about the business:
  5. Enter the Owner, Manager, Contact, Banker, Lawyer, and/or Accountant for the business.
  6. Enter any additional information in the Notes field.

Click OK after making any revisions. Click Yes to confirm the revision and return to the Commercial Info List.

Note: The OK button is inactive until a revision is made.

Click Options to view the options available from the Info Detail.

Click Cancel to abort editing or viewing Info Detail and return to the Commercial Info List.
