Home Base

Home Base is the main screen and entryway to all sections of TAM via the button bar on the left side of the screen and the menubar along the top. Email, system messages, and open activities are also accessed from Home Base.

Home Base Menubar

The menubar contains five menus: File, Options, Tools, and Help. The suboptions for each menu option are listed below.

File

Exit: Exit TAM and return to Windows.

Options

Employee In/Out Box: View employee status.
Address Book: Display the Address Book.
Print Receipt for Cash: Print a customer receipt.

The following menu options open the corresponding sections of TAM:

Tools

Message Center: Define system messages.
User Setup: Set up system defaults for TAM users.
System Setup: Set up view/display defaults.

Help

This menu provides access to TAM's on-line help files. The Help menu includes the following options:

Contents: Display TAM Help.
Agency Interface Manual: Display Agency Interface Manual.
Online Chat / Log a Call: Launch installed web browser and access Applied Systems Online Chat. Instructions for using this service are available on the website.
Feedback Form: Launch installed web browser and access Applied Systems Feedback Form.

Home Base Button Bar

Fourteen buttons are available on the Home Base button bar. The function of each button is summarized below. Click the desired button to access that program. Click the links below to access information on each program.

	Click Clients & Files to access the Clients & Files list. Clients & Files provides options to store and work with data for customers, prospects, producers, companies, brokers, employees, lienholders, vendors, finance companies, and universal certificate holders.
	Click *Accounting* to access the Accounting menu.
	Click Reports to print reports and run marketing queries that summarize specific portions of the agency's data and activity. Each report may be run in a variety of ways, allowing you to tailor reports to your agency's specific needs.
	Click *Efiling* to attach any type of file to an entity in Clients & Files.
	Click Receptionist to quickly look up phone numbers and record phone messages on the same screen.
	Click *Utilities* to access Utility Manager.
	Click *Dashboard* to quickly access the following information, helping you to make informative and efficient business decisions: Dashboard Reports (summary report data) Employee In/Out Box Email Inbox Links Dashboard Message Center
	Click Mail to open your email client.
	Click New Mail to create a new email message.
	Click Inbox to quickly view your unread mail.
	Click Scan to access the Batch Image Router.
	Click Barcode to access the Barcode Printer utility.
	Click Image Inbox to access the Front-End Scanning interface.
	Click myTAM to view your personal myTAM screen.
	Click *Appetite* to access the Market Appetite Search module. Market Appetite enables you to locate markets interested in underwriting your commercial clients’ risks.
	Click Exchange to connect directly to Applied IVANS Exchange without leaving Applied TAM. Applied IVANS Exchange enables you to view, track, report, and manage your carrier download connections seamlessly. Important! The first time you access Applied IVANS Exchange you must associate your Applied IVANS Exchange user credentials with your Applied TAM login by logging into Applied IVANS Exchange. After you make this association, you will no longer be prompted for your credentials. You must have your Applied IVANS Exchange user name and password to login.
