On the Utility Manager screen, open the System Administrative folder in the treeview.
Select Security Manager.
Click the arrow to continue.
Click the Add new usericon.
Enter information about the user. Those fields marked with an asterisk are required fields.
Enter the user's First Name and Last Name.
Enter a User Code of up to eight characters. The user code must be unique.
Enter an OPID of up to four characters. This will be used to identify the user in some areas of the system.
Double click in the CSR Code and Producer Code fields, if applicable, to select the correct codes for this user. The WHO Code field defaults as the OPID.
Note: If you assign a producer code to the user, the user will only be able to access customer/prospect accounts assigned to that producer code, unless the user is also granted the All Producer Access right under Main on the Program Access tab. If you do not assign a producer code to the user, the user will not be able to access any customer/prospect accounts, unless the user is granted the All Producer Access right. See Producer Security for more information.
In the Write-Offs frame, enter the maximum Accounts Receivable and Company Payables write-off amounts allowed for the user.
Note: You should only make entries in this field if the user will have a higher or lower write-off maximum than the write-off maximum set for the system. If you do not enter anything in these fields, the system setting applies.
Determine whether the user will have access to Live or Demo data.
In the User Mode frame, select Expert or Novice. (Expert users receive fewer warnings/prompts than Novice users.)
Click Apply.
The Change Password screen displays. Type a new password in the required fields, then click OK.
Note: Rights must be assigned to this user in order for him or her to access any of the program areas and/or perform any actions in TAM. See Assign Program Access Rights for instructions. It may be easier to assign the user to a group that is granted the appropriate level of program access. See Add an Existing User to a Group.
