Direct Bill
Use the Direct Bill Reconciliation program to track, record, and reconcile direct bill commissions received from companies. To access the Direct Bill Menu, from Home Base, click Accounting, Reconciliations, Direct Bill.
The options available on the Direct Bill Menu vary according to your system setup. To see how your agency is set up to reconcile direct bill commissions, go to Utilities, Accounting, Setup and access the GL Setup Report. Check the setting for "Reconcile direct bill business."
- Reconcile a Company Statement: Reconcile direct bill commissions transacted in your system against commissions listed on a statement received from the company.
- Record Commissions; No Reconciliation: If you do not transact direct bill items until you receive the company statement, use this option to record the commissions listed on the statement.
Note: This option does not permit you to transact on history policies.
- Remove Direct Bill Balances: If you do not reconcile direct bill business, use this option to remove direct bill balances from the customer policy screen by zeroing out the DBAL field.
- List Open Statements: List direct bill statements that have been started but not completed.
- Direct Bill Report: View direct bill transactions in order to show commission received or calculate future commission income due.
- Import Direct Bill Transactions: Create direct bill transactions from an imported spreadsheet.
