List Management

The following workflows are common to lists throughout Clients and Files:

Change Column Width

  1. Hover your cursor over the vertical line dividing the column headings.
  2. When your cursor turns to a double-sided arrow , click and drag to change the width of the column.

Replace a Column

You would use this workflow, for example, to change the Agency column to a Branch column if you only have information for one agency in your system.

  1. Right click the column heading you wish to change.
  2. Select the appropriate field from the list that displays.

Add a Column

  1. Right click the column heading to the right of where you want to insert the new column.
  2. Select Insert Column.
  3. A new column is added to the left of the original column, with the heading <not set>. Right click the <not set> column heading.
  4. Select the appropriate field for the new column.

Remove a Column

  1. Right click the column heading for the column you wish to remove.
  2. Select Remove Column in the list that displays.

Reset Default Columns

  1. Right click any column heading.
  2. Select Reset Columns in the list that displays.
  3. You are prompted, "Are you sure you want to reset all columns for this list to the default values?" Click Yes.
  4. The size and content of all the columns revert to the default settings for this list.

Scroll Through the List

The lists in the Clients and Files section contain three different types of scroll buttons.

Outer scroll buttons

Jumps to the beginning of the list.

Jumps to the end of the list.

Middle scroll buttons

Scrolls up one screen (for example, if 10 list items display on the screen at a time, this displays the previous 10 list items).

Scrolls down one screen (for example, if 10 list items display on the screen at a time, this displays the next 10 list items).

Inner scroll buttons

Scrolls up one list item at a time.

Scrolls down one list item at a time.
