Copy & Re-Quote an Existing Auto Quote

1. To copy or recreate an auto quote, begin by either creating or locating a client from Desktop Navigation in Applied Rating Services.

2. Locate the desired quote in the Quote Summary list and select it.
3. To  Copy & Re-Quote an existing or saved quote, do one of the following:

• Right click the appropriate quote and select Copy & Re-Quote from the dropdown menu.
• Click Quote > Copy & Re-Quote on the menubar.
• Click the Edit/View button in the Quote Summary side menu and select Copy and Re-Quote.
4. If quote modifications exist on the quote you are copying from, a message displays asking you if you want to copy them to the new quote. Click Yes to copy the quote modifications, or if you do not want to copy the quote modifications to the new quote, click No.
5. The Quote information screen displays. Revise any information on this screen if needed, and click OK to continue to the next screen.
6. The Additional Customer information screen displays only if the insurance carriers that your brokerage is licensed for use a credit score to help assess risk and determine a premium.
7. The Auto Underwriting screen displays. Revise or complete the information on the Vehicles, Drivers, and Assignment tabs.
   
   To revise your auto quote, do the following:

• Add Vehicles

  1. Click the Add button  beside the Vehicles list and select a vehicle type from the dropdown menu.

• Delete Vehicles

  1. Click the Delete button  beside the Vehicles list.

  2. Click Yes on the pop-up message to delete it.

• Exclude Vehicles

  1. Select the Exclude checkbox that corresponds with the vehicle in the Vehicles list.

• Add Drivers

  1. Click the Add button  beside the Drivers list.

• Delete Drivers

  1. Click the Delete button  beside the Drivers list.

  2. Click Yes on the pop-up message to delete it

Note: No more than ten vehicles and twelve drivers can be added to a quote.  

8. Click Quote on the tool bar, or click Quote > Process Quote on the menu bar to proceed with the quote.
   
   If there is information that is required to proceed with the quote that is missing, the Validation tab will display the information that needs to be filled out to proceed with the quote. Missing information that may affect the rating if left blank displays on the Validation tab.
9. The Premium Summary screen displays with the Summary section showing all company quotes.
   
   The following information displays in the columns on the Premium Summary screen:
• The  column displays icons that link to a PDF file. For example, this may be used to promote a feature or discount.
• The  column displays icons that link to a URL, such as a website for promotion details.
• The  column displays icons that represent the type of quote risk with that carrier.
• The Company column displays the company’s name.
• The 12 Months column displays the total premium amount.

10. Click on the company name on the Premium Summary screen or in the list of companies that displays on the left side of the screen to see the quote details for that company.
    
    The Carrier Detail screen for the selected company displays the details of the quote.
    
    Note: If there are Policy and/or Risk related messages that pertain to this quote for the selected company, a Message section displays below the Rates section. It is important to review them since they contain important information regarding the quote. For example, a risk may not qualify even though a quote was generated with the company; the messages displayed here will tell you whether or not they qualify.

Completed quotes can be modified in the following ways:

• Modify Limits & Deductibles

  1. In the Breakdown section of the Carrier detail screen, click the Limit or Deductible dropdown and select the desired new Limit or Deductible from the dropdown menu.
     
     Note: The Please Recalculate icon  will display next to items that are affected by the change.
  • Click the Recalculate button to reprocess the quote.
    
    Note: Hover over the Recalculate button to display what underwriting information was changed.
  • Click the Undo Recent button at the top of the screen to revert any changes since the last recalculation
    
    Note: Hover over the Undo Recent button to show what underwriting information was changed since the last recalculation
  • Click the Revert button to return to the original underwriting information.
    
    Note: Hover over the dropdown(s) where the information was changed to display the original amount and the recalculated amount.

• Add Optional Coverages

  1. In the Breakdown section hover over the Add New Coverage line item to display the add icon. Click the Add New Coverage wording to display a dropdown with a list of available coverages that can be added for the line of business.
  2. Select the Coverage from the list to be added to the quote.
  3. Select the Limit or Deductible for the coverage you added to the quote.
  4. Click the Recalculate button to reprocess the quote.
     
     Note: Hover over the Recalculate button to display what underwriting information was changed.
  • Click the Undo Recent button at the top of the screen to revert any changes since the last recalculation
    
    Note: Hover over the Undo Recent button to show what underwriting information was changed since the last recalculation
  • Click the Revert button to return to the original underwriting information.
    
    Note: Hover over the dropdown(s) where the information was changed to display the original amount and the recalculated amount.

• Remove Optional Coverages

  1. In the Breakdown section hover over the coverage to display the Remove icon ; click the icon to remove the coverage from the quote.
  2. Click the Recalculate button to reprocess the quote.
     
     Note: Hover over the Recalculate button to display what underwriting information was changed.
  • Click the Undo Recent button at the top of the screen to revert any changes since the last recalculation
    
    Note: Hover over the Undo Recent button to show what underwriting information was changed since the last recalculation
  • Click the Revert button to return to the original underwriting information.
    
    Note: Hover over the dropdown(s) where the information was changed to display the original amount and the recalculated amount.

11. You have the option to complete the CSIO application with Applied Rating Services by doing the following:

1. Click the Auto App button on the options bar to launch the Supplementary Data screen.

2. On the CSIO tab, click on each section of the CSIO application to fill out the necessary information.
   
   On the Modify Quote tab, click on a vehicle listed in the treeview list to display its quoted details. Modify the vehicles quoted details as necessary.

3. Click Print when you are ready to print the completed CSIO application.
   
   Click Save & Exit to save the changes you made on the CSIO and/or Modify Quote tabs.
   
   Click Cancel to close the screen—your changes will be lost.

12. When finished with the quote, do one of the following:
• Click Save on the options bar or File > Save on the menubar to save the quote then click File > Exit to exit the screen and leave the quote in Applied Rating Services.
• Click Integration > Company Integration to upload the quote to the selected insurance company
  
  Note: This option is available only to licensed and supported carriers.
• Click Integration > Save and Export to Broker Management System to send the quote information to your broker management system.
  
  Note: If your Broker Management system is either Applied TAM or Applied Epic, the option will display as Save and Export to Applied TAM or Save and Export to Applied Epic.
