In the Email Builder, you can use blocks to add different elements to your design such as text, tables, buttons, and images. You must have rows in your design before you can add blocks. Adding one or more columns to a row can give you greater flexibility in placing blocks.
Complete the following steps to add blocks to your design:
You can hide or show elements in the email based on the type of device the recipient uses to view it. For example, you might have two logos, one optimized for desktop and one for mobile. You can add both to your email but hide the desktop icon in your mobile design and vice versa. Hidden content displays as translucent on the canvas. To edit hidden content, switch to the design mode where it is visible. However, you can edit properties for these blocks from either view.
To enable this feature, do the following:
The Title block lets you implement header tags to create a structured hierarchy within your design. This hierarchy improves both web accessibility and SEO without the need for custom HTML. From the Title block properties, you can insert H1, H2, and H3 tags.
The Paragraph, Text, and List blocks are specialized tools designed to meet distinct text formatting requirements. The Paragraph block is optimized for long-form text, giving you control over paragraph styles and spacing. The text block is meant for short-form text. The List block provides an efficient way to create and manage ordered and unordered lists, complete with customizable styles and spacing options.
Use the formatting ribbon in your design to format your text as needed. Hover over an option on the ribbon to display its functions. To personalize your text with your organization's information or recipients' own information, you can insert merge tags. Merge variables only populate for campaign emails sent to client contacts, not for emails sent to internal employees. To add a merge tag, do the following:

Create a custom button that links to a URL or file from the File Manager. You can customize the look of your button and choose whether you want it to open a link, send an email, make a call, or send an SMS.
The Table block allows you to create tables with or without column headers, which enable you to associate each column with a category. You can include or exclude headers by toggling the Header row setting in the sidebar. If you initially create the table with a header row, delete it, and then add it back later, any formatting or styles from the original header row will be lost.
The following options are available to customize the structure of table blocks:
To easily navigate through cells in your table, use the following keyboard shortcuts:
Dividers and spacers create breaks between different elements. The Divider block inserts a line into your design, segmenting different sections visually.
The following configuration options are available for the Divider block:
Spacers are essentially transparent dividers, creating an empty space rather than a visible line. The only sidebar option for a spacer is Height, which allows you to control the amount of blank space in your design.
Insert a section of interactive social media icons into your design. Choose from a list of different logo designs and configure the socials you want to link to.
The Custom HTML block enables you to insert your own HTML code into designs crafted in the builder. While it is as straightforward as adding a text block, this feature is primarily intended for users proficient in HTML. Custom HTML can affect the way your design adjusts to various display sizes, so make sure the HTML you use is responsive and email-compliant.
The Email Builder checks and automatically corrects the code you add, as well as removing unsupported tags like <script> and <iframe> to avoid security risks and deliverability issues.
The Email Builder supports a variety of HTML tags:
When you add a Video block, you must add a video URL; you cannot add a video saved locally. Once you enter a valid URL, a thumbnail of the video displays in the block with a play icon. You can tailor the play icon's type, colour, and size.
The Icon block helps you use text and images together. Icons can replace or accompany traditional bullet points for a more visually appealing list, or function as buttons.
Under Configure icon collection, click Add New Icon to insert a pre-loaded icon into the canvas. You can update an existing icon by clicking Change image to open the File Manager.
Click Apply effects to access an image editor.
