Equipment
To access the Equipment area:
- Locate
the desired account.
- In the navigation panel, click Account
Detail, Equipment.
Add Equipment
- Click the Add button.
- Enter the Number
for this equipment.
- The Brokerage ID
should not be changed if it exists, because this information
carries over from your brokerage management system.
- Enter a Description,
Manufacturer,
Model,
and Year.
- Enter an ID/Registration
Number if applicable.
- Enter the Serial
Number, Date
Purchased, Cost
New, Current
Value, and Amount
of Insurance.
- In the Policy Number(s)
list, select the policy or policies that apply to this equipment.
Press [Ctrl]
while clicking to select multiple policies or [Shift]
to select a range of policies.
- For the Location field,
click the Click
Here to Change link to select from locations
entered for this insured.
- To select a certificate
Holder entered for this insured as the Lien
or Lease Holder, click the Click
Here to Change link. Select the appropriate Holder on the Lien Holder Lookup window.
- Click Save
to add the equipment or Cancel to
discard changes.
Edit Equipment
- Locate the appropriate equipment. You can use the Search
frame to narrow the equipment that displays in the list. To
remove a filter that has been applied, click Clear Filter.
- Click any of the information listed for the equipment.
- Click Edit.
- Make any necessary changes to the equipment detail. See the instructions
under Add Equipment for
more information.
- Click Save
to apply your changes or Cancel to
discard them.
Delete Equipment
- Locate the appropriate equipment. You can use the Search
frame to narrow the equipment that displays in the list. To
remove a filter that has been applied, click Clear Filter.
- Click any of the information listed for the equipment.
- Click the Delete
button. You are prompted, "Are you sure you want to delete?"
Click OK.
Export Equipment
To make the updating of equipment faster and easier, you can export
equipment data to an external Microsoft
Excel or tab delimited text file, make updates to the information
as necessary, and then import the updated information into the system.
- Click Export
on the options bar.
- Open
or Save
the resulting file.
Import Equipment
If you have equipment data saved in an external Excel
or tab delimited text file, you can use the import feature to automatically
create the equipment in your system. The Import
Equipment feature must be enabled for your organization.
The file must contain the following columns, in this exact order.

You have the option of downloading an import template that you can fill
out. (See instructions below.)
To import equipment:
- Click the Import button
at the top of the list.
- If you wish to download a template, click the Help
button, click the appropriate link, and fill out and save the template.
You can also click the Next
button on this screen to view a list of column headings and
character limits.
- Click the Browse
button to locate the appropriate file.
- Click Import.
- In the Schedule field,
select None,
New Schedule, or Statement
of Values.
- Once the import has completed, the number of records added and
updated displays on the screen.
