Real-Time Commands

Perform the following commands (i.e., transactions) using the Real-Time Interface screen.

Use the link labels in the Policies screen eServicing ribbon to perform Real-Time transactions (Policy Inquiry, Claim Inquiry, Billing Inquiry, and Company Website) without accessing the Real-Time Interface. These transactions depend on the issuing company’s configuration and what it supports. See the Policies article for more information on the eServicing ribbon.

Account View*

Access a summary view of an insured's entire account on a carrier's site. It is similar to Policy Inquiry and Billing Inquiry but provides a more general view that includes policy and billing information.

Billing Inquiry

Get billing information on a policy.

Evaluation Dates:  Defaults to today’s date. Can be changed to obtain billing information during a certain period.

Company Website

Access a company website automatically without having to open another program.

Note that it is no longer necessary to locate a client before accessing this option. If a carrier offers the Company Website command and has been configured for this command by running an Account Update, a Website Access link label displays in the Phone Numbers/Website section of the Account tab, providing access to the carrier website. Company Website sessions can be run for multiple companies simultaneously.

Endorsements*

Bridge policy information to a carrier for an endorsement.

Details:  Assign an endorsement type (Optional) and an effective date of the policy change.

Policy Change Request*

Send the policy detail, including the changed information, to the insurer to aid in automating your change request workflows.

Loss Run*

Obtain a Loss Run from a carrier.

Evaluation Dates:  Defaults to today’s date. Can be changed to obtain Loss Run information during a certain period.

Make Payment*

Bridge to carrier website to report a payment on a policy.

Order MVR

Order an MVR through the America Driving Record using CSIO.

Details:  Select drivers to order the MVR. Drivers must be selected before continuing with the transaction.

Policy Inquiry*

Get policy information.

Evaluation Dates:  Defaults to today’s date. Can be changed to obtain policy information during a certain period.

Policy Submission Request

Send the full detail of an application to the company.

Details: Choosing a Policy Submission workflow that sends a policy to a carrier in a submission workflow ensures that your management system tracks the work appropriately and shows a more generic submission response from the carrier without the expectation of updated premiums.

Premium Finance

Obtain a quote from premium finance vendor set up in your system.

Obtain a rate from a carrier (with the option to ISSUE if offered by the carrier).
