Notifications

If enabled, Notification pop-ups display each time a job completes (such as a report, fax, or email) to show you the success or failure and the details of the job. If you have unsuccessful notifications enabled, please note that bounced emails are retried five times before they fail.

Notifications only exist as long as the corresponding jobs. Expired notifications more than 24 hours old are cleared, and the system purges jobs that are more than seven days old and no longer active. Because notifications are cleared once the associated job is deleted or purged, make sure to address them promptly.

You can specify whether to receive notifications for unsuccessful jobs, successful jobs, or both in Notifications Configuration. Applied recommends enabling at least unsuccessful notifications so you can address any failures promptly. Without unsuccessful notifications, there is no way to know of failed jobs, such as undeliverable emails sent through Distribution Manager.

For a convenient running history of your jobs on the Home screen, Customize Home to display the Notifications area. You can also use the Notification Report from the On Demand menu on the Home screen to view all of your notifications or other employees’ notifications that you have permission to access.

  1. To open the Notifications window and view your current notifications, click Access > Notifications on the options bar or menubar.
  2. By default, the notifications display in a List View, but you can view them in a Single Item View if necessary. To switch between views, click the word Notifications and select List View or Single Item View.
